I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! runner-up Tony Bellew issued some stern advice to his jungle pal Sam Thompson, who was crowned King of the Jungle 2023.
Tony, 41, a former professional boxer, struck up an unlikely friendship with ex Made in Chelsea star Sam, 31, during their time Down Under in the wilderness.
I'm A Celeb viewers loved their relationship, with many calling for Sam and Tony to have their own show – something which Tony refused to rule out during an appearance on Good Morning Britain.
On Monday, 11 November, Tony spoke to GMB hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls via video link as he discussed his jungle experience and unique relationship with Sam.
Speaking about the popular reality star, Tony said: "Sam was brilliant.
"I can't put into words how exceptional Sam is. I knew he was the winner from literally a few days in after meeting him, I knew he was set to win it."
Tony continued: "He [Sam] is just such an amazing person.
"Anyone who doesn't love Sam, or Marvin [Humes], or Frankie Dettori, or Nick [Pickard] hasn't got a soul, in my opinion."
When asked by Susanna if he and Sam were going to do their own spin-off show, he laughed, and said: "You're making me sound like Max and Paddy," in reference to the iconic 2004 show, featuring Paddy McGuinness and Peter Kay.
However, Tony refused to rule out the idea of a TV show featuring himself and Sam, as he said: "I don't know. Whatever Sam wants to do, I'm moving with."
Tony then issued some advice to Sam, following his jungle win, as Tony declared that Sam is entering "a whole new world" referring to the amount of attention and TV offers Sam will likely be inundated with.
He said: "I want Sam to chill out because Sam is coming into a whole new world now, he really is.
"I just want him to be happy. I want him to keep the energy that he's got, but he's going to have to manage himself correctly."
Tony then sweetly concluded that he'll "always be there" for Sam, adding: "He's got a friend for life in me."
After Ant and Dec announced Sam as the winner, he said: "I'm really overwhelmed, I didn't even think I was going to be invited onto the show. I'm so grateful, thank you so much. I’ve dreamt of doing this show for years and years and you made this boy’s dream come true."
He was crowned by fellow contestant Josie Gibson, who told him: “I’m so proud of you.” Asked how it felt, he then yelled: “It feels amazing!”
Fans were quick to react to Sam's win, with one writing: "SAM’S THE KING OF THE JUNGLE!!!! MOST DESERVING WINNER EVER!!! #ImACeleb."
