I’m A Celeb’s Josie Gibson reveals she nearly QUIT the show in off-air drama as she displays post-Jungle weight loss

Josie Gibson has revealed she nearly quit I’m A Celebrity after just a few hours in camp. 

The TV presenter, 38, nearly made it all the way to the end, narrowly missing out on a place in the final when she was voted out on Saturday. 

Yet speaking to her This Morning co-stars on Monday, Josie admitted she almost fell at the first hurdle, confessing she had ‘a wobble’. 

She admitted: ‘When I first got there actually I sat there under my quilt and I honestly thought “how am I going to do this, how am I ever going to see this through?”

‘I didn’t know how I could do a week, let alone three. I did have a big wobble a few days before the end as well. I was pining for (son) Reggie. I was sad, I wasn’t myself.’

Josie looked incredible as she filmed her interview in a black halterneck gown. She displayed her Jungle weight loss after the camp’s diet of rice and beans (pictured right in September) 

Josie added: ‘I’m so proud of myself, I got further than I ever thought. My spider phobia is off the scale. But was the last woman standing! 

‘I’ve been in there six months, one day is like three rolled into one – it feels like forever…

‘I couldn’t have done the experience without the campmates I had. There was a real connection.’ 

Josie looked incredible as she filmed her interview in a black halterneck gown. 

After weeks of Jungle living, the blonde bombshell made the most of being back with her creature comforts as she sported a bouncy blow dry and glamorous makeup. 

She also displayed her Jungle weight loss after the camp’s diet of rice and beans.  

Earlier in the day, the This Morning star had returned to the Jungle with her campmates for the I’m A Celebrity finale and presented winner Sam Thompson with his floral crown after he won the show. 

After returning to their luxury 5-star hotel, the mother-of-one looked delighted to be reunited with her five-year-old son Reggie, scooping him up for a cuddle as they waited for the finalists to return to the hotel. 

Josie – who looked incredible in a black denim jumpsuit  – also enjoyed a catch up with campmate Danielle Harold as they waited by the hotel entrance. 

The EastEnders actress, 31, looked effortlessly stylish as she modelled a black denim dress paired with shades and sliders. 

Earlier in the day, the This Morning star had returned to the Jungle with her campmates for the I’m A Celebrity finale and presented Sam with his floral crown after he won the show

Josie enjoyed a sweet moment with son Reggie as she returned to the Marriott Hotel in Surfer’s Paradise after watching Sam crowned King Of The Jungle

Josie narrowly missed out on a spot in the final after being voted out of camp on Saturday.  

Her son reportedly wasn’t allowed to cross the famous bridge due to his age, so Josie was met by her best friend Mia Williams instead.

The former Big Brother winner broke down in tears in the toilet last week over missing Reggie while in the jungle.

Sensing Josie was feeling down, Danielle – who became the fifth celeb to leave the show on Thursday – went to check on her, asking: ‘What’s the matter?’

Struggling to control her tears, Josie sniffed: ‘I just miss my little boy. I shouldn’t have ever left him this long.’

The EastEnders actress rushed to comfort the mother as she reassured her: ‘100% you should, you’re showing him that you’re a strong mum, strong woman. So proud of you babe.’

She continued: ‘I hate seeing you upset. You’re the best mum.’

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Josie admitted: ‘Just had a little wobble. You just feel very guilty. I’ll never leave him this long again, ever.’

Reggie had been staying with his dad Terry Bond before jetting to Australia. Terry and Josie started dating in 2017 but split up in 2018 when Reggie was five months old.
