Adele sent the internet wild with rumours that she had married her partner Rich Paul this month, and now it appears that babies are on the horizon for the superstar.
Reportedly a married woman, the singer is looking to the future and making plans to welcome a second child, a source told us.
“Adele and Rich are so happy, she’s so in love and they’re an amazing team – she’s never felt happier or healthier. She and Rich are planning to have a baby, it’s her dream to have a big family,” they said.
Adele, 35, is already a mum-of-one, sharing an 11-year-old son, Angelo, with her ex-husband Simon Konecki. However, she’s made no secret of her hope for more children.
Hinting at her desire to grow her family during recent concerts at her Las Vegas residency, Adele shared that having another child wasn’t a matter of ‘if’ but ‘when’. The star also admitted to often writing down baby names in her phone’s notes apps while chatting to a fan during a recent show.
She was brought to tears when a couple in the audience invited her to do their unborn baby’s gender reveal, responding, “If and when I get pregnant, will you do my gender reveal?”
Echoing how important family is to the singer, who grew up in Tottenham, our source said, “With all the money in the world, Adele would give up anything to have a bigger family. So, for her, it’s exactly what she wants and what she has been dreaming of.”
They added, “She’d put her family before anything else and loves being a mum. She’s very hands-on and does it all herself, no matter how busy she is with work – family comes first.”
Babies aside, Adele is famous for keeping her personal life under wraps as much as possible, especially when it comes to her relationship with sports agent Rich, 41.
Attending the Grammys together in February, she wore a diamond ring on her left hand, sparking speculation that she and Rich were engaged. But despite rumours about her relationship status, it was only in recent weeks that Adele appeared to confirm she’s tied the knot in secret.
While attending her close friend Alan Carr’s Los Angeles comedy show, the chart-topper shared the news in a spontaneous mid-show moment, according to audience members.
After the show, fans told how Alan had asked the crowd if anyone had gotten married lately, with Adele allegedly shouting ‘I did’.
It’s not the first time that she has said ‘I Do’ under the radar, confirming that she had a secret ceremony with former husband Simon in 2018.
Adele was first linked to Rich back in July 2021, when they attended an NBA Finals game together. Two months later, they went on to confirm their relationship with an Instagram-official snap, and are still often seen courtside at NBA games.
Talking about Rich in a rare 2021 interview, shortly after confirming the romance, Adele said of the NBA agent, “He was always there, I just didn’t see him.”
Noting that she felt safe and comfortable in the relationship, she added, “Rich just incredibly arrived… I don’t feel anxious, nervous or frazzled. It’s quite the opposite. It’s wild.”
The smitten couple now reside in a sprawling Los Angeles mansion, a far cry from Adele’s North London roots.
It appears that Rich is the perfect man to complete Adele’s family dream too, as the he appears just as keen to welcome a little one.
The source explained, “Adele can see Rich being a father without a doubt. They have great synergy together and he wants a baby as much as she does.”
