ITVs Im A Celeb star Jamie-Lynn Spears dodges questions about sister Britney as she lands in Oz

Jamie Lynn Spears, known for being Britney Spears' sister, has landed in Australia for her upcoming stint on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

The 32 year old actress and singer remained tight-lipped about her jungle experience upon arrival, only revealing that it was her first time in Australia.

She's hoping to clear up some misconceptions about herself during her time on the show, which returns on Sunday, November 19th with a star-studded cast of 10 celebrities.

"There is literally every misconception you can have on a person about me so I don't take any of it seriously. But I do think going on I'm A Celebrity will be a nice way for people to see the real me. This is an opportunity to be myself and do something really cool and have some awesome experiences in the meantime.

She continued: "I think my best quality is the fact that it takes a lot to hurt my feelings. Unless you are my children or my immediate family, nothing is going to hurt me.

"I can take a lot of s**t and it doesn't get me down, so I really think it's a good quality to have in a place where a lot of stuff is thrown at you!"

The Zoey 101 star is desperate to overcome her fears, which includes snakes, rats and heights, as she admits she is "dreading" the trials.

At the airport, she told a reporter: "Everything you've just mentioned (snakes, rats, heights) I am scared of. I am absolutely frightened of all of these things.

"Everything I have seen I have been afraid of. Absolutely every one of these trials I am dreading," she said.

"I haven't looked at any of them and thought, 'Oh cool, I could do that one'. This is going to be terrifying. Dancing with the Stars was such a wonderful experience but this is very different. This is all about personally pushing yourself."

It's no secret that Britney Spears has a tricky relationship with her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears, but fans were quick to spot what they believe was a subtle swipe from the former popstar regarding her sibling's upcoming jungle stint.

Taking to Instagram, Britney, 41, shared a cryptic post just minutes after the news broke to the world that her sister would be heading to the Australian jungle for the newest series of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

She posted a quote, originally said by Ernest Hemingway, which said: "All things truly wicked start from innocence," followed by a pink flower emoji.

Although Britney didn't follow-up with anything further, speculative fans were soon on the case, presuming that the message clearly had something to do with her sister's new upcoming adventure.
