Jada Pinkett Smith, 51, who is married to Will Smith, 54, will reportedly dive into her “unconventional upbringing” where she was the child of “two addicts”. According to the press release, the Red Table Talk host will also include details of her life before stardom where she had a “violent interlude as a petty drug dealer”.
The memoir will also take readers back in time to her close bond with Tupac, her rise to fame and marrying her long-term spouse Will.
As well as this, Jada will reportedly detail how she was “in crisis at age 40” and had to redefine her life.
“At the heart of this powerful book are two unexpected love stories, one being Jada’s complicated marriage to Will Smith, the other being the one with herself,” the description adds.
It continues that Jada “chronicles lessons learned in the course of a difficult but riveting journey — a rollercoaster ride from the depths of suicidal depression to the heights of personal rediscovery and the celebration of authentic feminine power.”
Carrie Thornton, Dey Street Books VP and editorial director, said in a statement: “The world has imposed many labels and narratives on Jada Pinkett Smith.
“This is down to the realities of our media landscape, but also the roles thrust upon women by culture.
“At the centre of all the speculation and false stories is a woman who, like so many women, has had to reconcile her personhood with the needs of those she loves.”
Fans have already reacted to news of her upcoming memoir ahead of its release, with many questioning what else she has to tell.
Such comments were referring to how open she is on her show Red Table Talk.
Jada began her show back in 2018 which sees her, her daughter Willow and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris discuss a wide variety of topics.
The actress herself addressed one of the biggest controversial moments back in 2020 involving her relationship with R&B star August Alsina.
She and Will took to the famous table to address rumours regarding the status of their marriage.
August stirred up controversy when he alleged in an interview with radio host Angela Yee that he had been romantically involved with Jada.

Discussing the accusation, the actress said she did have a romantic bond with him when she and Will were separated.
She said: “We were over.
“From there, as time went on, I got into a different kind of entanglement with August.”
Jada went on to say: “I would definitely say that we tried everything we could to get away from each other, only to realize that that wasn’t possible,” adding she and the singer have not spoken since they ended things.
She also denied a claim that Will gave her permission to begin the relationship.
The couple tied the knot back in December 1997 and have two children; Willow and Jayden.
The actor also has a 29-year-old son named Trey with ex-wife Sheree Zampino.
They were married for three years.
