It might seem like an unlikely friendship between a member of the Royal family and a DJ, but Mike Tindall and James Haskell go way back.
The pair are not only former rugby players for England but have each starred in the hit ITV show I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, and now even have a hit podcast together.
James went into the Australian camp in 2019 while Mike took on bushtucker trials in 2022, and it appears the 38-year-old who is married to Chloe Madeley gave the royal star a few words of advice before heading in.
"I did give Mike some advice," James exclusively revealed to OK! "Perhaps some very honest things that others wouldn't tell him. He said he found it very helpful but he didn’t need it. He was unbelievable in the jungle."
James also admitted that Chloe, daughter of TV icons Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, is close with 45-year-old Mike's wife Zara too.
"Me and Mike are very close, and Zara and Chloe are too," the star said.
However, no matter how much time they seem to spend together, there's one thing that's definitely off the cards – and that's the idea of a double date.
"No, we’ve never been on a double date," James laughs when OK! asked. "We hang out lots together, but we’ve never double dated."
"I speak to Ian Wright, Roman Kemp, Nadine Coyle. I’ve also kept in touch with Kate Garraway whenever I’ve appeared on Good Morning Britain. I loved the show."
Chloe and James have been giving fans a look into their daily lives in their northwest London home, on their ITVX reality show, Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair.
The series documents the ups and downs of the couple's first months as new parents, as well as Chloe’s famous parents Richard and Judy's role as doting grandparents.
And the DJ revealed he’s cried 'more this year than in his entire life' as he opened up about family life and becoming a father to daughter, Bodhi, last year.
Opening up to OK!, James explained about the 'emotional rollercoaster' of becoming a dad.
He said: “It’s been an emotional rollercoaster! I was quite late having kids, and I thought I wasn’t bothered about having them.
“I was also quite selfish regarding my career. When it comes to sports, you live in the moment and try not to show your emotions. But now, I’ve probably cried more in the last year than I have in my entire life.
“Being a dad is so emotional. You learn to love someone so primal, and you don’t really know how to comprehend it. I think it’s amazing.”
