James Haskell hits back at Instagram ‘morons’ after ’embarrassed’ Chloe Madeley is tagged by her followers in snaps of him partying with bikini-clad girls in Ibiza

James Haskell has hit back at Instagram ‘morons’.

In an interview before announcing the end of his five-year marriage to Chloe, 36, the former rugby player, 38, said he simply ‘doesn’t care’ about the haters.

In scenes which aired recently, Chloe told James she was ’embarrassed’ after her followers tagged her in photos of him surrounded by bikini-clad women in Ibiza.

James, who refused to stop posting snaps of himself partying with women as it was key to his DJ ‘brand’, said he isn’t bothered by trolls and ‘just feels sorry’ for them.

He said on Unfiltered: ‘I mean they’re morons. I just feel sorry for them. Chloe doesn’t want to be offensive. Chloe doesn’t want to upset anyone. She’s much more accommodating. I just don’t care.’

‘They’re morons!’ In scenes which aired recently Chloe told James she was ’embarrassed’ after her followers tagged her in photos of him surrounded by bikini-clad women in Ibiza

‘It’s like I equate it to a blue bottle buzzing at a window. They make a lot of noise, bump their head in the corner. They don’t get through the window and the ultimately die in the corner.

‘Awful. It’s b******s. I look at it and go “is there any validity in what they’re saying?” No. And she’s so much more articulate and intelligent and verbose than I am in that regards.

‘And she always shuts them down. I just don’t give them time. I delete.’

He added: ‘Why I stopped blocking people because I realised that every interaction was earning me money. So I don’t care.’

James’ outlook on criticism comes after Chloe spoke about feeling ’embarrassed’ when her followers were tagging her in images of James surrounded by bikini-clad girls while working as a DJ in Ibiza while she remained at home with their daughter Bodhi.

The racy snaps had already caused an issue between the pair, with the personal trainer claiming it made her husband ‘look like a k**b’.

James and Chloe have since separated but in their reality show – which was filmed a month before they split – the issue arose again.

Attempting to voice her frustration, Chloe told James: ‘I had a really annoying tag on Instagram today under that really annoying post of you at Ocean Beach with all those girls with their a**es out. It was quite embarrassing.’

Confrontation: James, who refused to stop posting snaps of himself partying with women as it was key to his DJ ‘brand’ despite Chloe’s pleas, said he isn’t bothered by trolls

Outlook: ‘It’s like I equate it to a blue bottle buzzing at a window. They make a lot of noise, bump their head in the corner. They don’t get through the window’, he said

Difficult: Chloe was looking after their daughter Bodhi, 14 months, when she was being tagged in photos of James being surrounded by bikini-clad women in Ibiza

As Chloe revealed that one of her followers had claimed she ‘felt sorry’ for her, James angrily hit back: ‘why didn’t you just tell them to f**k off?’

The mother-of-one continued: ‘It’s almost like everyone knows you’re my husband and then you post a photo of yourself around these half naked women with a massive grin on your face and then I’m posting photos of me and Bodhi at home.

‘I am just a bit embarrassed that people are feeling sorry for me and I don’t want them to.’

Refusing to acknowledge her point, James said: ‘Well then don’t feel like they’re embarrassed for you.

‘Also embarrassment is a feeling, not a thing. I didn’t embarrass you, you felt embarrassment. It’s all down to your reality.

‘I’m doing it, it’s not going to change. I didn’t do anything, they’re there, they’re paid dancers, it’s just building the brand.’

As Chloe reiterated that she found it ’embarrassing’, James shot back: ‘well go and speak to a therapist, it’s not my problem.’

Chloe previously didn’t hide her fury after James posted a series of videos and clips with a group of bikini-clad girl in Ibiza.

After spotting the pictures, she said: ‘He’s on Instagram uploading videos and photos of all these girls, and I was like, “I will kill you. I will fly to Ibiza and kill you”.

‘He posted videos of him with loads of girls in thongs ‘cos he thinks that it like makes him look cool on social media. I’m like you’re a k*** and you make me look like a k***. Stop doing it.’

However, she did admit: ‘But he loves it. Honestly, at least he’s having fun. You know what I mean.’

Elsewhere on her reality show, Chloe revealed she and James attended couples therapy in a bid to save their marriage.

Ultimately, their marriage could not be saved, with the couple announcing over the weekend they had decided to go their separate ways.

The couple formally announcing their split last weekend with a joint statement.

James and Chloe, who married in 2018, had fuelled speculation about their relationship after the personal trainer emerged without her wedding ring as she partied with friends – shortly after the former rugby player was pictured chatting to a mystery blonde outside a London nightspot.

In a joint update shared to Instagram, they announced: ‘Chloe and I mutually decided separate at the end of September, 2023.

‘We had not planned on releasing a statement at this time – certainly not while the television show was airing – but constant speculation about our marriage has, unfortunately, forced our hand.

‘Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, and we would request privacy at this time.

‘Our sole focus now is our beautiful daughter. We shall continue to co-parent with nothing but love.’

Over: The scenes were filmed a month before Chloe and James separated, with the couple formally announcing their split last weekend with a joint statement

Sharing his own statement to Instagram, James added: ‘It’s with a lot of sadness I write this post, but unfortunately, in the world we live in, it has to be done.

‘My priority is my daughter’s and Chloe’s happiness and security. For that reason, I won’t be commenting any further.’

A source told MailOnline: ‘James is still living at the family home in London, he arrived back on Monday and was still there yesterday morning.’

One friend of the couple added: ‘It is all so weird, and it all seems rather rum that Chloe did a round of interviews and talked very openly about her life and the marriage but she failed to say that she and James had split despite her television show being all about her family life.’
