If there’s anyone taking a personal win from #Scandoval, it’s James Kennedy.
In the days since Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss’ affair was revealed, the Vanderpump Rules cast have unanimously rallied behind Ariana Madix, who broke things off with the aspiring musician after discovering a sexually explicit screen recording of Raquel on his phone.
It’s pretty much been utter chaos since then, with cast members coming out to publicly condemn the affair, and Raquel’s reported PR plan of playing the victim getting leaked before she could even begin her apology tour.
But one person in particular seems to be rejoicing in the news, and that’s none other that James.
If you don’t remember, he and Raquel were an item for several years — even getting engaged back in 2021. That didn’t last too long, though, as they announced their split in December of the same year. Now, he’s just sitting back and watching his ex’s downfall from his front row seat.
A source told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday:
“James is loving every second of this and relishing in it. He was always known as the bad guy in their relationship, and he feels vindicated now. He was confused as to why Raquel stayed on the show after they broke up since she was a character through him. James always thought it was suspicious and didn’t know what her motive was. He felt like he was being used as a jumping-off point for her to get famous.”
Seems like fellow VPR star Lala Kent may have been on to something when she called out Raquel’s “15 minutes” of fame… The confidant added:
“James knows he made mistakes in their relationship and that he wasn’t always the best boyfriend or fiancé, and he’s not denying that, but he is glad the world can see that she is not an innocent victim.”
Eesh. Her PR strategy to portray herself as exactly that is really blowing up in her face right about now… The source continued:
“All the girls were rooting for Raquel to have her single girl era after her breakup with James and rallying around her and they are so disgusted and disappointed by her and Tom.”
Well, the girls have now done a complete 180, and pretty much want nothing to do with the 28-year-old — and we can’t blame them!
