Jane McDonald, 60, looked incredible as she made her red carpet debut at The British Soap Awards 2023, joining a host of glamorous soap stars.
The Cruising with Jane McDonald presenter looked delighted to be taking on the role, after she was drafted in at the last minute by ITV bosses, following Phillip Schofield’s resignation.
Jane turned heads as she stepped out wearing an elegant velvet gown in a deep shade of burgundy for her stint as host.
The singer’s off-the-shoulder fishtail dress was designed with ruching at the front, while highlighting her curves for the event.
She styled her hair in bouncy waves, while emphasising her pretty features with smokey-eye makeup and pink lipstick.

Jane smiled from ear to ear before heading into the ceremony, despite the furore surrounding her predecessor, Phillip.
The former This Morning presenter dropped out of hosting the awards after he admitted to having an “unwise, but not illegal” affair with a much younger male ITV colleague while he was still married to his wife Stephanie Lowe.
Jane was announced as Phillip’s replacement just days ago, on Thursday, after he quit ITV and was dropped by his talent agency YMU.
In a statement issued by the presenter last week, he confirmed he has stepped down from all of his ITV roles, including hosting The British Soap Awards, a ceremony he had fronted since 2006.

After her new role was announced, Jane shared her excitement for the event as a massive soap fan herself.
The Loose Women star exclaimed: “Oh my god…..everyone knows how much I LOVE my soaps, this year I’ve been honoured to be mentioned in Corrie, EastEnders and Emmerdale, so this is just a dream come true.
“I can’t wait to see all our wonderful soap nominees and celebrate all their hard work with them – roll on the awards, I can’t wait!”
While welcoming the soap stars to the awards, held at The Lowry theatre in Salford Quays, Jane said: “I’ve got to say I am a massive fan of the soaps so this is my dream job.
“Welcome to you all, thank you for having me.”

Showing off her soap knowledge, Jane spoke about the location of this year’s awards, which is very close to the set of Coronation Street.
Jane told the audience: “We’re here in Salford’s stunning Lowry theatre just a stone’s throw from some very famous cobbles.
“We’re so close to the Rovers that you can still smell Betty’s hotpot.”
The awards ceremony will see Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Doctors, and EastEnders battle it out to be crowned the Best British Soap.
The British Soap Awards airs on television on Tuesday June 6 at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
