The ‘I Wanna Love You Forever’ singer is compared to the beauty guru after gracing the cover for Bustle’s July edition, which was published on Thursday, July 6.
AceShowbiz –Jessica Simpson apparently was unrecognizable in her latest photo shoot. The “I Wanna Love You Forever” singer was compared to beauty guru Jeffree Star after gracing the cover for Bustle’s July edition, which was published on Thursday, July 6.
For the photo shoot, Jessica struck some poses in front of the camera. One picture saw the blonde beauty staring straight at the camera, pursing her lips and sticking her tongue out. Jessica also shared the pictures on her Instagram page, writing in the caption, “First time I ever did a push-up in backless jeans! Thanks so much for having me @Bustle and @mickeyrapkin I’d share queso with you any day. What an honor!”
While some fans praised Jessica, some others pointed out in the comments section that she somehow looked like Jeffree in the photos. “am i the only one who thought this was @jeffreestar,” one user asked. Another fan commented, “Why is she [giving] me Jeffrey [sic] Star vibes? Not good! I know Jess is beautiful but….”
One person, meanwhile, noted that Jessica “somehow looks Jeffree Star and [Tana Mongeau] at the same time.” Shocked by Jessica’s apparent new look, one other questioned, “WTF did she do to her face?”
That aside, Jessica got candid about her life in the accompanying interview for the magazine. The 42-year-old songstress ended rumors that she took Ozempic to lose weight, crediting her “willpower” for her weight loss. “I’m like, do people want me to be drinking again? Because that’s when I was heavier. Or they want me to be having another baby? My body can’t do it! It hurts. Am I going to let the negativity derail me? No, I’m too old for that. I am too connected to myself right now to let that derail me. It doesn’t mean that it doesn’t hurt,” she said.
She also appeared to shade ex-husband Nick Lachey in the interview. “It’s amazing what publicity can do,” she stated when referring to people’s belief in the past that her ex was the one suffering in their marriage.
During the chat, the “Open Book” author was additionally said to have given a “better-late-than-never shrug” before making the comment. At the time, she was informed by writer Mickey Rapkin that social media users have recently seen her ex as a villain in contrast to past perception of him.
The writer referred to a viral TikTok video featuring a scene from an episode of “Newlyweds”. The clip, which saw Nick calling Jessica a “brat” several times, garnered people’s attention as one user commented, “Wow… this hits differently watching now as a married adult.” Another stated, “He was so mentally and emotionally abusive to her. tells her to go away and then gets mad that she goes away?”
