Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith have split after nearly four years of marriage.
The British actress, 37, who shares a three-year daughter Janie with the Dawson's Creek star, 45, filed for divorce and cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the split, TMZ reports.
The date of separation is listed as September 13 – just one day after the pair attended New York Fashion Week together.
Celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser is representing Jodie in the divorce, with the actress asking for joint custody of their daughter.
OK! has contacted representatives for Jodie and Joshua.
The couple met through mutual friends in 2018 and initially insisted that their romance was just 'casual'.
Speaking during an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Jodie revealed the details about how they first fell for each other.
The Queen & Slim star said that the pair hit it off at a party and enjoyed a one-night stand, before their relationship developed into something more serious.
She explained: “When I first met my husband, it was kind of — we had a one-night stand. We’re in a two, three-year one-night stand now.”
“First of all, I saw him before he saw me, and when I saw him, I was like, ‘I want that,’” Jodie continued.
Sharing more details, Jodie explained that she was wearing a graphic t-shirt from a film called Sorry To Bother You, which featured a character called Detroit, that eventually caught Joshua’s eye.
The actress continued: “He shouts across the room, ‘Detroit!’ He comes over and does this really cute, charming thing that he does and just all night – he just basically followed me around the party.”
They went on to marry in December 2019.
In an interview in April this year, Joshua said that he initially did not see himself ever getting married or having kids, but that he and Jodie would "spend every moment together and find reasons to be in other cities together at the same time" when they first met.
He added: "Six months [after the proposal], she was pregnant, and we were on our way. And now we have this beautiful baby who is literally the manifestation of that love.
"It is impossible for me to look into the face of my child without feeling love for my wife."
