Paralympian Jody Alan Cundy to join Strictly Come Dancing
Strictly Come Dancing hopeful Jody Cundy has admitted it’ll be difficult to juggle his career with the show as he begins training for the dance floor.
The 44-year-old cyclist shared a picture of him back on his bike at the weekend, following his stint at the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships, earlier this month.
Alongside a selfie of him out cycling, Jody issued an update about his current schedule and the upcoming Paralympics.
In view of his 3,144 followers, he wrote: “Slowly but surely getting back into training, the journey to Paris has started.
“Although there’s a spot of dancing to do before then, with hopefully a stop off in Blackpool (which if it was a clear day you’d see the tower in the distance) with @bbcstrictly but only if I get any good at it! #keepdancing #keeppedaling #lifewithoutlimitations #amputee.”

In the comments section, a fan named Fred Morgan asked: “How you gonna juggle it man?”
Jody replied: “@freddexmorgan good question. Got some ideas, but certainly going to be difficult fitting in the hours around the dancing.
“Going to be a more maintenance block than anything.”
Joanna Goody added she had “big respect” for the Strictly hopeful for juggling two things at once, while others wished him luck.
The cyclist gave fans an insight into his training for the show last week when he attempted his first dance move.

Jody shared a video of him attempting a spin, but almost lost his balance.
Overcoming the slight mishap, however, he remained upright and bowed down in a humorous nod to his fans.
Replying to comments from his followers, Jody revealed that the spin took him three attempts and claimed it was still “terrible”.
The gold medallist has admitted the show is “so far away” from what he’s used to, but was “looking forward to the challenge”.
Jody is no stranger to hard work having competed in multiple world championships and winning 23 world titles.
The thought of Strictly, however, has made his “heart rate higher” than one of the championships, he recently spilled.
He told Eastern Daily Press: “My most nervous thing would be going out in the first week – even talking about it now my heart is pumping.
“I had a world championship final literally last night and my heart rate is probably higher now than it was then.”
