Kaleb Cooper discusses the Oxford fire explosion
Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper shared his account of the Oxford explosion, in which a lightning bolt struck a gas container causing a fire last night.
The 25-year-old shared his experience on his Instagram Story as he underwent some late night farming duties, in view of his two million followers.
From his tractor, Kaleb tried to get to the bottom of what happened as he filmed the fireball in the distance.
At first, the reality star believed it was a tree that had caught fire, but was later told it was a signal tower.
He told his followers: “A lightning strike has set a signal tower on fire, swear on my life.

“Stay safe out there,” he added before questioning whether he should stay working or go back home.
“I might go home, in all seriousness, if you are out near Oxford way and you see that, I hope you’re all safe and well.
“Because that was unreal, I’ve never ever experienced anything like that.
“So yeah stay safe out there, I think it was a control tower or something like that, the signal is going down,” he added.
Photos and videos of the fireball lighting up the sky began surfacing on social media around 7.20pm on Monday.

Emergency services were seen rushing to the scene near Yarnton at Severn Trent Green Power, a waste management company, as some locals temporarily lost power.
In a statement, Thames Valley Police spokesperson told said: “It is believed that lightning struck gas containers at the site during bad weather this evening, causing a large fire.
“To ensure public safety, nearby residents are asked to stay at home, to shut windows and doors and not to attend the scene.”
South Central Ambulance Service confirmed no casualties had been reported.
Oxfordshire County Council also said fire crews were using an aerial appliance and water tank as they put out flames.
A spokesperson for Severn Trent Green Power said: “We’d like to thank the emergency services for their work overnight to contain and lead the incident at Cassington, where our plant was struck by lightning.
“Keeping our teams and the local community safe has been of paramount importance and we are relieved that no one has been hurt.
“We will continue to work with the emergency services who are still on site as we assess the damage and while the fire is under control, we urge people not to come to the site today.”
The incident came as a Met Office yellow weather alert was in place over the city, warning residents of dangerous thunderstorms.
