Kate Middleton ‘juggling’ mum life ahead of Coronation and hoping Louis will behave

The Princess of Wales will be playing a key role this week for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in the final run-up to the Coronation, according to former BBC royal correspondent, Jennie Bond.

In what will be a busy and possibly overwhelming few days for the three young royals, the expert revealed that Kate will step into her "mother hen" role and make sure each of her children are feeling comfortable.

Jennie exclusively told OK! "The Princess of Wales will have been celebrating Charlotte's eighth birthday earlier this week – they had that lovely trip to the ballet – but that will have taken priority. She'll also be juggling getting the kids to school and any jobs that she's got to do or engagements this week."

Jennie continued: "Catherine will be gently preparing her children for the big day. It is probably quite hard to get across to a five-year-old – and a very lively five-year-old at that – exactly what is going to be happening and how long he's going to have to behave himself and be quiet.

"She'll be keeping her fingers crossed for that and just gently calming any nerves that George might be feeling. I think she'll be doing a sort of mother hen act."

Prince Louis memorably had a fun time during the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee back in June and was pictured pulling various faces throughout the four-day celebration.

While his faces on the balcony following the Trooping the Colour parade were hilarious, it was the moments on the final day during the Pageant that will not be forgotten. For Prince Louis' part, he delighted the crowds as he stood on the chairs, danced, pulled faces, covered his mum's mouth and ran between sitting with his different relatives.

Jennie's comments come as Louis joined his dad Prince William, King Charles, Queen Camilla and her grandchildren at rehearsals for Saturday's historic Coronation service.

Louis could be seen in a car next to his father as the duo left Westminster Abbey on Wednesday afternoon.

Jennie previously spoke to OK! about how much the three Wales children will know about the day. She said: "Ever since the Queen's death, and most especially in recent months, the Prince and Princess of Wales will have been slowly bringing their children around to the idea that this is a very, very important occasion.

"I think with George, they will be able to sit down and have a more adult discussion about it, but they would have been easing Charlotte and Louis into the fact that this is a huge day, an important day, and a day where they've got to behave – probably telling Louis, particularly you have got to behave.

"I imagine it must be quite tricky for the children because this is something that sets them apart from their peers and from everyone else at their school, but they must be excited."
