Kate Middleton looked the "most relaxed" during the King's Coronation, while Prince William "will try and modernise" when his time comes, a royal expert has shared.
The Prince and Princess of Wales played a prominent part in the King's Coronation today with the line of succession clearly shown as they are now heir to the throne.
The spotlight was also on their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis with their eldest George one day leading in his grandfather's footsteps as monarch.
While we watched the family of five attend one of the biggest events in history, former BBC Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond exclusively spoke to OK! and said Kate Middleton "looked the most relaxed".
Jennie went on to say that when the time comes for Prince William to take over the crown from his father she thinks he will "will try and modernise it more".
Talking about how might the heirs to the British throne have been feeling during the Coronation Jennie said: "I think Kate looked the most relaxed" and said she shared "a moment with Charlotte".
She added that second in line to the throne, George looked "mystified" during the ceremony.
"I think George probably was quite mystified by everything going on, even though his parents would have explained, particularly when that glove came out and he had to put a glove on", Jennie shared.
During one of the most poignant moments of the Coronation, Prince William pledged his loyalty to his father as he approached him and kneeled down before him.
Here he recited: "I, William, Prince of Wales, pledge my loyalty to you and faith and truth I will bear unto you, as your liege man of life and limb. So help me God."
The Prince of Wales then bent down to kiss his father's cheek, which appeared to leave the King clearly moved.
Jennie said this moment between William and Charles "was lovely".
She went on to say that when the time comes for William to be crowned King she thinks he will "try and modernise it".
"I think William will try and modernise it more when his time comes", she said.
The King's Coronation today saw 2,200 guests gather in Westminster Abbey to watch the religious ceremony as King Charles and Queen Camilla were officially crowned.
Millions of viewers tuned in to watch it on TV while thousands of people lined the streets of London to honour the new monarch and celebrate the occasion.
The Coronation was the first in the UK since 1953 when Queen Elizabeth II was crowned at the age of 25, while Charles is the oldest monarch to take the British throne.
The day will no doubt go down in history for both the public and members of the Royal Family.
