Katie Price has revealed the shocking details of a scary incident that left her bleeding from her eye.
The glamour model and TV star was pictured last week on a red carpet with a blood-filled eye, and now she has explained what happened to her.
She told how she rushed to the doctor for help when her daughter noticed that she was bleeding from her eye – and was told by medics that it was her body's reaction to stress.
Katie, 45, shared the worrying story with her sister Sophie on an episode of her podcast The Katie Price Show, telling how Bunny, nine, had been the first to notice her symptoms.
She said: "I woke up to get Bunny ready for school at seven in the morning. She was going, 'Mum, mum, your eye's bleeding'. I said, 'What do you mean, my eye's bleeding?'."
The mum-of-five admitted she thought Bunny was joking at first because her daughter is "always pranking" her, but got a shock when she looked in the mirror and saw her eye bleeding.
Fans might have seen the effects of Katie's eye problem, as she still attended the premiere of documentary, The Psychopath Life Coach, where she was pictured with one completely red eye caused by a blood vessel bursting.
Katie said she had not wanted to let down her work commitments, although when she rushed to the doctor about her bleeding eye she had been told that it had happened as a result of stress.
She said of her visit to the doctor: "I've had a haemorrhage in my eye and I said, 'Well, what causes it?' Stress can cause it.
"There are a lot of stresses behind the scenes in my life, like, not work stuff. I love the work, but other stuff that I'm dealing with.
"Everyone has stresses, I just wish my stress didn't show in my eye."
Katie's mum Amy is terminally ill and recently marked a year since having a lung transplant, explaining that she was finding the cold weather difficult to deal with as it affected her breathing.
Meanwhile, Katie recently warned her fans off following in her footsteps over cosmetic surgery procedures – despite having various treatments herself including at least 16 boob jobs, face lifts and bum lifts.
One fan asked her on social media about getting a "lip flip" procedure, something Katie has had done, but she told the woman: "No. Don't do it, Debbie," and showed the scarring she had been left with on her own lip.
