Christine Baumgartner has filed for divorce from The Bodyguard star Kevin Costner.
Christine, 49, and Kevin, 68, wed in 2004 and share three children together.
According to dad-of-seven Kevin’s representatives, the circumstances of the pending divorce are “out of his control”, with clothing designer Christine having citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakdown of their marriage.
They said: “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.”
“We ask that his, Christine's and their children's privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time,” they continued to TMZ.
According to the publication, Christine and Kevin have asked for joint custody of their children Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and 12 year old daughter Grace.
Christine is said to not be asking for spousal support.
OK! have contacted Kevin’s representative for comment.
It’s unclear when Christine and Kevin’s marriage broke down, but the pair appeared to be all smiles at the 2022 Academy Awards where they rocked up to the event arm in arm last year.
They later attended the Rock Rwanda Benefit in April 2022, where the celebrity pair were honoured with an award. It appears that this was their last public engagement together.
Prior to his marriage to Christine, Kevin was married to Cindy Silva, who he also shares three children with.
They married in 1978 and divorced in 1994. They are parents to Annie, 39, Lily, 36, and Joe, 35.
Following their divorce, Kevin fathered another child with Bridget Rooney – a son named Liam, now 27.
Kevin has an extremely successful and ongoing acting career, having bagged an impressive three Oscars and two Emmys over the years.
For the past six years, Kevin has headed the Yellowstone cast, playing John Dutton. He stars in the hit show alongside the likes of Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, and Wes Bentley.
Previously speaking about his role of John, Kevin admitted that Western films and TV shows are “hard to pull off”.
He toldDeadline: “I like to think my tastes are broad but a lot of people think I do anything with a horse in it.
"Western themes are very hard to pull off. There’s a tendency to think white hat, black hat and it’s much more complicated.”
