Khloe Kardashian has shared a surprising tribute to her ex-fiancé Tristan Thompson on his birthday, as she gushed over the father of her children despite their rollercoaster past.
Khloe, 38, and Tristan were had an on-off relationship for years, before secretly getting engaged in February 2021.
But the former couple were already broken up once more by Christmas that year, when the news broke that Tristan had fathered a secret child with a personal trainer.
What's more, as a devastated Khloe tried to process the news, she was also keeping her own secret from the world that she and Tristan had decided to have another baby together via a surrogate.
Fast forward more than a year, and the former couple are now healthily co-parenting their children – daughter True, and a baby son, whose name they are yet to reveal.
"Happy birthday @realtristan13," Khloe began her emotional post.
"You are truly the best father, brother & uncle. Your love, attention, silly dances, hugs, carpool rides, bed time rituals, the way u show up for them.
"All of the above means more than you’ll ever know to your family of littles," the star continued. "My birthday wish for u is that u continue to crave change, healing, and transformation.
Khloe went on to urge Tristan to work on his best qualities as she encouraged him to be the best version of himself.
"Be strong, be kind, be patient, be free," she said. "Continue to make your soul and your mommy proud.
Despite their rocky romance and life as co-parents, Khloe added sweetly: "Happy birthday baby daddy."
As well as a heartfelt dedication to her former partner, Khloe posted a series of new snaps including images of her baby son.
In one, Tristan was cuddled up to their baby boy and the rest of his brood, while in another, he showed his fun dad side playing dress up and face painting with the kids.
It comes as Khloe recently put to bed any prospect of her and Tristan reuniting as a couple.
Fans had been probing her for answers on Instagram, with one asking: "Who's your man currently? You know I'm gonna get the deets!" before adding: "AND HE BETTER BE TREATING MY SISTA RIGHT!!! OR ELSE."
After the comments were spotted by Khloe, she jokingly responded: "Who has time for a man lol. I have a 6-month-old baby and True and I are sickly codependent on one another. Ha! I secretly love it.
"No but for real…..No man right now…. He's in my prayers too ha!"
