In an episode of the ‘On Purpose with Jay Shetty’ podcast, the mother of four shares that she writes ‘about a four or five-page letter’ for each of her children every year on their birthday.
AceShowbiz –Kim Kardashian always prepares an amazing gift for her children every year on their birthday. In addition to throwing a big birthday bash for her kids, “The Kardashians” star shared in a new interview that she writes a lengthy letter for each of them.
“Every year, I write each one of my kids about a four or five-page letter,” the reality TV star said in an episode of the “On Purpose with Jay Shetty” podcast that was published on Monday, May 22. “On their birthday, about what the year was like. Who their friends are, silly words they’re saying, their favorite foods, all the silly things that they do.”
The SKIMS founder, who shares North, 10, Saint, seven, Chicago, five and four-year-old Psalm with ex-husband Kanye West, went on saying, “It’s so fun to see from the first year. Now, you know, one of them is almost ten years old. And just to, I know that they’ll appreciate this.”
“I know that they’ll appreciate everything that they might have thought I was being a little harsh on, me protecting them. I know that they’ll get it because I got it with my mom and I know they’ll get it with me,” she elaborated.
After watching her interview, fans were loving the idea. “This is actually dope. Imagine reading highlights for each year of your childhood, through the lenses of your parents. You know how many memories we forget, that our parents still have,” one of them wrote in an Instagram comment.
“Seems like a lot but honestly I would have loved this from my parents,” one other said. “She probably gets that from her mom. Kris gives them the most sentimental/thoughtful gifts. It’s a sweet idea but idk about 4-5 pages though lol,” another comment read.
Another user raved, “People just like to hate on that woman smh. So what she writes 5 , or 1 page letter to her kids, I think that’s dope.” Similarly, someone else praised the Kardashian-Jenner family, “They are very family oriented. Her parents kept a diary of them. This is a good idea, I would definitely do this for my kids oneday.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Kim shared that she cried to sleep due to her challenging motherhood journey. “Everyone says the days are long and the years are short, and that couldn’t be like a more true statement,” the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” alum said. “So, like, when you’re in it, I mean, especially when they’re babies and you’re feeding … there’s madness going on. It’s like full madness.”
She continued, “It’s like full crazy madness, cooking, running around. Like, it’s wild. Parenting is the thing that has taught me the most about myself. It has been the most challenging thing. There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy s**t, this f**king tornado in my house. Like, what just happened?”
The comments, however, landed Kim in hot water. One fumed user said on social media, “She also talks as if she doesn’t have A FULL STAFF OF PEOPLE HELPING HER WTF.” Another criticized, “Kim has 4 nannies, one assigned to each kid. Motherhood is not hard. Nannies are raising her kids. She needs stop trying to act like she’s middle class.”
