Kris Jenner jumps to the defense of her family and claims Scott Disick ‘will NEVER be excommunicated’ from the Kardashians

Kris Jenner has come to her family’s defense after allegations that Scott Disick had been ‘excommunicated’ by the Kardashian family as a result of ex-girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian’s wedding to Travis Barker.

After the rumor was posted on the Paper Magazine Instagram page Saturday, the Kardashian matriarch, 66,  quickly posted a rebuttal, writing, ‘Scott will NEVER be excommunicated from our family….he’s the father of my grandchildren and a special part of our family… we love him and not true!’

Kourtney, 43, and Scott, 39, dated off and on from 2006 to 2015 and are still amicable co-parents to their three children Mason, 12, Penelope, 10, and Reign, seven.

Quick defense; Kris Jenner, 66, has quickly jumped to the defense of her family after allegations daughter Kourtney’s former partner, Scott Disick, 39, had been ‘excommunicated’ from the family

An insider told Page Six in a story published Friday that Kourtney’s family, who were famously close to Scott even after the breakup, have now made their new brother-in-law their ‘priority.’

The source shared: ‘Ever since Kourtney got married, he doesn’t spend as much time with that whole group. He’s been kind of excommunicated because the priority is Travis. He had to regroup who his relationships are.’

Another insider dished that even though the family ‘distanced’ Scott, he is still shooting their new Hulu show The Kardashians with them.

Excommunicated: The back and forth commenced when a source claimed Scott felt he had been distanced from the Kardashian family. Kris claimed ‘he’s the father of my grandchildren and a special part of our family… we love him’

Priority; A source claimed the Kardashians had made Kourtney’s new husband, Travis Barker, 46, the priority and he wasn’t able to spend as much time with them as he used to

On the first season of The Kardashians, which premiered during Kourtney and Travis’ engagement, the family threw a barbecue and declined to invite Scott.

‘Feeling left out and not being told anything is super hurtful, especially when I don’t have another family to go to,’ Scott confessed on the show.

He acknowledged that moving on from Kourtney romantically was ‘probably one of the most difficult things in my life’ – though he admitted she had the ‘right to despise me and the way I treated her, because it was horrible.’

Kourtney’s sister Kim Kardashian pointed out that it would be psychologically difficult for Scott to be left out of their family functions.

Kim explained: ‘It’s everything he was always afraid of: ‘I don’t have any family, you’re my only family,’ and now it’s coming true.’

‘Hold on, guys,’ said Kourtney. ‘Scott and I have been broken up for seven years and I gave him 10 years before that. So why is everyone making such a big deal about this? Let’s just not hate on a girl who finally knows what she deserves.’

Kourtney and Scott began their whirlwind on-off romance after they met in 2006 at the Mexican home of Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis.

Their turbulent relationship unfolded on reality TV and was beset by problems including Scott’s alcohol abuse and rumors of his infidelity.

They broke up for the final time in 2015, though they remained so close as co-parents that a segment of fans continuously expected them to get back together.

Scott has revealed that even some of Kourtney’s loved ones gave him hope that she would eventually take him back.

‘I always had her friends or our family in my ear kind of like: ‘Don’t worry honey, eventually you guys will figure it out and you’ll get back together one day.’ My foot was always halfway in the door,’ he said on The Kardashians.

Kourtney meanwhile began running around with Travis during the coronavirus pandemic, and last October she accepted his seaside proposal. During their romance, they were infamous for their public displays of affection, which even Kourtney’s mother Kris Jenner playfully teased them for on TV.

However, Kourtney was driven to fury when Scott mocked her and Travis in private Instagram messages to her ex Younes Bendjima – which Younes then leaked.

Commiserating with her sisters on an episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney said that Scott ‘got away with bad behavior’ because of his closeness to the family and insisted the leniency was ‘not going to continue’ after she got married.

She and Travis had a drunken Las Vegas wedding on April Fool’s Day after walking the red carpet for the Grammys together earlier that evening. They exchanged vows in front of an Elvis impersonator – only to discover the marriage was not legally binding as they had neglected to obtain the requisite paperwork before dashing off to the wedding chapel.

Meanwhile, in the years since his split from Kourtney, Scott has taken up with a string of drastically younger girlfriends.

His affairs included Lionel Richie’s daughter Sofia Richie and Lisa Rinna’s daughter Amelia Hamlin, each of whom was 19 when Scott started dating her.
