Laila Rouass responds to question about Ronnie O’Sullivan split
Footballers’ Wives alum Laila Rouass has admitted that there’s “no rush” to walk down the aisle with her fiancé, snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan.
The 52-year-old former Strictly Come Dancing contestant said: “I’d have to really gear myself up for a wedding.
“At the moment we’ve put it on the back burner and we’re enjoying our time. There’s no rush.”
Mum of one Laila first met 47-year-old Ronnie in 2012 when she was house-hunting.
They had a very roundabout romance as his father showed her round Ronnie’s house and later mentioned her to his son.

This led Ronnie to get in touch the only way he knew how – through the estate agent – in order to ask her out.
“When he said he was a snooker player, I said, ‘Yeah, but what does he do for a living?’” she revealed in an interview with The Sun.
“I’d never heard of him as sport doesn’t interest me at all, although Ronnie’s won me over to snooker,” she revealed.
However, it hasn’t been all smooth sailing for the couple who briefly split last year.
But a mere three months after announcing their breakup they worked out their differences and reunited last May.

Speaking on Loose Women following their reconciliation, Laila said: “Me and Ronnie are back together, we found our way back. We just worked it out.
“Back when I announced it [the split], we hadn’t been together for almost eight months at that time,” she revealed.
For his part Ronnie paid gushing tribute to Laila in his book Unbreakable which was released last month.
“It’s good [his relationship with Laila]. She’s great. I love her. She’s great company and I love being around her,” he intimated.
“She’s very supportive. I have to behave myself. I know when to go, ‘All right, you’re in charge’.
“But she’s also really good at going, ‘Listen, you’ve got a busy life, you’ve got a lot to do, just get on with it’.
“Now it feels a lot better, everyone’s just in a better place,” he continued.
“I just want to see her and her daughter happy, and her family, who are like my family, happy.”
