Laura Anderson has revealed that her beloved dog has been a “nightmare” since the arrival of her new baby girl.
The former Love Island, who shared her pregnancy journey exclusively with OK!, said she just didn’t “have the time” to deal with the antics of her Pomeranian pooch Buddy – who she believes has been ‘feeling left out’ following the birth of Bonnie.
Laura, 34, welcomed her new baby with her ex, Hollyoaks star Gary Lucy, earlier this month.
In a video of Bonnie and the dog posted in her Instagram stories, she wrote: “Buddy update: He’s been a nightmare. Staying away from her actually but doing the toilet inside for attention.
“I’ve enough s*** to clean up and I spent a fortune getting a place with a terrace specifically for him. Any tips welcome. I know he must feel left out but I just don’t have the time.”
Laura’s journey to motherhood has been anything but plain sailing so far. Earlier this week, she told fans about her full birth story – revealing how she had suffered a vaginal tear and a postpartum haemorrhage that had been "mentally quite tortuous".
The traumatic event caused Laura to lose 1.6 litres of blood, but thankfully she was able to go home and recover with the help of medication. Laura has continued to keep fans updated on the first few days of Bonnie’s life, last week sharing a picture of the newborn "chilling" during the heatwave.
The reality star posted a picture to her Instagram showing the baby asleep in her DockATot baby pod with a white noise machine. In the snap Bonnie was shown to be lying in a relaxed position, with her hands behind her head.
The update came after Laura shared a sweet Reel to her Instagram documenting the baby’s arrival. On the video, she and Gary were seen on their way to the hospital and also shown shortly after the birth when the umbilical cord was cut.
In another clip, Laura and Gary were seen holding hands as they left the hospital with their daughter – sparking rumours of a reconciliation between the pair. In the caption, Laura wrote as if it was Bonnie introducing herself, and she said: "Hi everyone, my name is Bonnie Rose Lucy Anderson.
"I was born 02/09/23 at 06.03am and weighed 6.10lbs My Mummy & Daddy are sooooo happy and in love with me, this is our first week together.
"I’m sorry it’s taken me some time to introduce myself, I hurt my mummy a little bit and scared my daddy too (oops) we’re all now recovering well at home."
The post ended with: "Please don’t question My Mummy & Daddy on their relationship- This.. is all about me."
