Laura Anderson reveals truth behind Gary Lucy split: ‘My priority is bringing up my baby’

Pregnant Laura Anderson has spoken out about her split from actor Gary Lucy, 41.

Earlier this month the pair announced that they are expecting a baby together, with their bundle of joy set to arrive this summer.

It's since come to light that the pair have gone their separate ways, however, but plan on co-parenting their child together.

While Gary has addressed their split, Love Island star Laura, 33, hadn't until now.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the expectant mother penned: "I had no intention to comment on the breakdown of my relationship with Gary.

"However, due to what has now been publicly shared by other parties, I have been left with no choice.

"Gary and I are no longer together due to multiple reasons which will remain private."

Laura continued: "Our plan was for me to move to Essex to start our family which I was more than happy to do. However since the breakdown of our relationship I have remained at home in Scotland. My priority is bringing my baby up in a calm and stable environment.

"I never asked or expected Gary to move to Scotland. I fully support him living in Essex to be close to his four amazing children.

"I am fully focused on having a healthy, happy pregnancy and remain excited to share this incredible journey with you all."

Gary shares his four kids with ex wife Natasha Gray, whom he divorced in 2018 after four years of marriage.

Mum-to-be Laura went on to thank fans for their support and signed off the statement with: "Laura, Buddy & Bump," alongside a pregnant woman and paw prints emojis.

The pair seem to have been taking swipes at one another via social media in recent days, with Laura editing her original pregnancy announcement to remove any mention of Gary.

It initially read: "Our hearts are full. Baby Lucy due 'Summer 23”, but the 33 year old has since changed it to: “My heart is full. Baby Anderson due Summer ‘23”.

Prior to this, Gary shared a cryptic quote about "looking for faults in others".

The actor, who has appeared on shows like Grange Hill, EastEnders and The Bill, posted the quote to his Instagram Story. It read: “People that spend time looking for faults in others, should spend time correcting their own."

Over it he wrote: "Amen to that".
