Loose Women star Janet Street-Porter horrified her TV colleagues after admitting to eating roadkill and skinning birds.
The outspoken broadcaster has been a regular on the show Loose Women for many years.
In a conversation with her fellow hosts about the Channel 4 show Alone, Janet claimed she would be happy to go it alone and this was her sort of show.
Alone is a new series which pits 11 regular people against each other in a game of survival as the Brits are dropped in a remote part of the Canadian wilderness and have to fend for themselves to survive.
The area is home to many bears and moose but the person who lasts longest alone out in the wilderness will win the eye-wateringly large £100,000 cash prize.
Janet went onto say that if there was a celebrity version of the show, she would love the opportunity to show off her skills as she has eaten roadkill and skinned birds before so she would know what she was doing.
During the Loose Women episode, Janet said: "If they do a celebrity show I want to be on it.
"I have no issue with going it alone, this is my kind of show.
"I have skinned birds and I have eaten road kill."
After sharing her experiences eating road kill and skinning birds, many of her fellow hosts were horrified.
Judi Love and Coleen Nolan seemed the most taken aback by her remarks as they both shot mystified looks to the 74-year-old Janet.
Many Channel 4 viewers have been quick to share their thoughts on the new series of Alone as some feel the survival skills of the "unprepared city dwellers" is not quite up to scratch for the Canadian wilderness.
One person commented: "#Alone is an 11-person survival challenge in the Canadian wilderness.
"First bloke out lasted half an hour… Touted himself as a joiner who was confident in building a shelter and promptly slammed an axe in his leg. The second bloke says he’s looking for beaver?"
Another viewer quipped: "I get lost in Tesco,’ says someone dropped off in the Canadian wilderness in new reality game show #Alone."
A third penned: "Just watched the first episode of #aloneuk I cannot believe this absolute bunch of Muppets #Alone. After all previous seasons, how could the producers possibly think a load of complete amateurs with no survival experience were going to be able to create a good survival show?"
