Charlene White exposes Denise Welch’s Loose Women habit
Charlene White has opened up about her feelings of exhaustion as a parent to young children, as she admitted she has been so tired she even fell asleep in her makeup chair.
The Loose Women star is mother to five-year-old son Alfie and three-year-old daughter Florence.
While Charlene loves being a mum, she often speaks candidly about the struggles of motherhood behind the scenes, including the gruelling sleep patterns.
The ITV presenter shared a fresh-faced selfie to Instagram this morning in view of her 115,000 followers, as she opened up about her feelings of tiredness and the value of a good night’s sleep.
“The face of a mum who has just had two undisturbed nights of sleep for the first time in months,” the former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star penned triumphantly.

“The joy!! I also managed to get a load of work done as a result (and it’s a make-up-less picture because quite frankly I couldn’t be bothered to put slap on just for the gram).
“With Florence getting up at least twice a night for some nonsense or another (usually because her blanket’s come off and she’s cold), it means I rarely every get a decent chunk of sleep at night,” she wrote.
“This means if I close my eyes on a train, in the back of a cab, or in a make-up chair the likelihood is I’ll fall asleep.”
The journalist then explained in her post how one sleepy incident had left her feeling particularly embarrassed.
“It happened last week when I was in the make-up chair at @sidktv studios,” she wrote sheepishly. “And I think I was snoring. I was mortified.”

Charlene shares her two young children with her partner Andy, who is an executive TV producer.
In her Instagram update, Charlene went on to explain why it’s important for mums to take some time for themselves.
“On Friday I took myself off to @champneysspas by myself, as recommended by my producer @jemojunior,” she wrote.
“And after two nights of sleep I feel normal again. I even managed to get through A WHOLE FACIAL with my eyes closed and didn’t fall asleep. I couldn’t believe it.
“Feeling human and awake is hugely underestimated, especially when you’re parenting and working full time.
“I know going away for a couple of nights is out of the reach of many, but never be afraid of spending time alone, even if it’s for a nap in the cinema (I’ve done that too).
“Sometimes it’s what your body needs, and @1judilove taught me that. Her solo trips inspired me,” she added, tagging fellow Loose Women star Judi Love.
“If you can, don’t be afraid of taking time for yourself alone. It may seem scary (the worry of some of the women who DM’d me after seeing my Stories), but honestly it’s not,” she continued.
“It can be empowering. My solo dinner was lovely, and I got chatting to another guest and his dad and it was a joy. Sometimes a step out of your comfort zone can be the best decision.
“School holidays, I’m ready for ya,” Charlene signed off confidently with a flexed bicep emoji.
Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
