Singer Louise Redknapp has now revealed that she is "open" to the idea of dating again following her split from husband Jamie back in 2017.
In an interview with the Sunday Times the 48 year old has confirmed that she is not actively looking for a new partner at the moment.
However she is keeping her options open for whatever might be next for her following the shock split.
In the interview Louise says: "People ask me about dating and although I wouldn’t say I ever go out actively looking, I’ve got an open heart for what the future may bring."
The mum of two might be open to the idea of dating again but she says all her energy is currently focused on her two sons and her job at the moment.
Louise and 49 year old Jamie were together from 1998 before their split and they share two sons together 18 year old Charley and Beau who is 14.
Despite that she still enjoys letting her hair down now and again she said: "I still have the occasional night out drinking cocktails as I love to let my hair down. If Luther Vandross comes on, you’ll find me on the dancefloor"
With that in mind Louise did also admit that she isn't sure if she is a "cool mum" but she did say that she has a close relationship with both sons and that they are very supportive.
Speaking about her relationship with her boys Louise said: "They don’t say too much because they’re teenagers, but I know they’re proud, which I sometimes hear when they don’t realise I’m in earshot!"
Louise and Jamie called it a day on their near 20 year relationship in 2017 in a move that shocked the celebrity world.
The pair tied the knot back in 1998 and instead of going for a huge wedding they decided to get engaged and married in the same week whilst on holiday out in Bermuda.
Despite their split Louise gave advice to people who are maybe thinking of splitting appearing to share her regret at the situation.
She wrote: "I wish I’d tried. I want to say to anyone thinking of running: Just slow down. Don’t run.
"Because once you run too fast, you can’t make up the ground you’ve lost.
"Stop, say what you need, say what you think, don’t be afraid to say what’s really going on. You don’t have to be quiet."
Louise may only just be open to the idea of dating but former footballer Jamie has since remarried and is now with model Frida Andersson.
