Greg O’Shea, who won the 2029 series of Love Island alongside then-girlfriend Amber Gill, has opened up about the “worst decision of my life” after ditching a party that was attended by Margot Robbie.
Speaking on the Irish chatshow The Six O'Clock Show, Greg explained that he had been invited to the premiere of the actress’ 2016 film Birds of Prey, in which she plays Harley Quinn, but he decided not to go.
During a chat with his fellow former Love Island contestant, Chris Taylor, he said that it “broke my heart.”
However, Chris couldn’t help himself and spoke about the experience of meeting the Barbie star alongside other contestants of the ITV2 fan favourite dating show.
“But anyway, Margot got a message to the boys that went to the premiere to say, ‘Come to the afterparty.’ I was in bed, I got up with the boys and we all went to the afterparty and Margot was there.
"She knew who we all were which was bizarre, she kind of came over and gave us all hugs and that which was bizarre. The after-party finished and she said to us, ‘Do you want to come to the after-afterparty.’"
This is no surprise, either, as Margot, 33, is known to be a huge fan of the show and has often gotten very excited meeting its stars.
Most recently, she was taking selfies with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sancli at the European premiere in London.
Chris even had a cameo in Barbie, which is based on the iconic doll line by Mattel.
In an interview with The Mirror he explained how he thought he was being pranked when Warner Bros. emailed him asking for him to audition.
He said that months later after getting the part to play one of the many Ken’s in the movie, it was only when he walked onto set and saw Ryan Gosling that he realised it was actually all real.
"Obviously, all of this is going through my manager, the contracts and stuff, so I wasn't 100% sure if it was real or not.
"Then I got picked up one day to go for a wardrobe fitting and the whole way I thought it was a prank but I got there and Ryan Gosling walked past my car.
"I thought: 'Well, that's definitely not a prank because he's definitely in the film!' So that's when it got really serious."
