Former Love Island winner Amber Gill has opened up to say "it's OK to be different" after addressing her sexuality in a tweet sent earlier this week.
Now, catching up with OK! in an exclusive chat, 24 year old Amber said that if she had the opportunity to go back in time and give her 16-year-old self any advice, she'd tell her: "It’s OK to be a little bit different and crazy. You’ll be fine."
The reality star continued: "You don't have to try and fit in everywhere. And you don't have to try and be normal. Everything will work out."
It comes after she declared that she "couldn't be with a man again' and that "switching teams" was the best decision she ever made.
Giving commentary on the Islanders, Amber seemingly alluded to her sexuality as she wrote: "Watching men makes me feel ill. I couldn't put myself through it again."
In another Tweet, she wrote: "Switching teams was the best decision I made in my life."
Her fans were quick to question her tweets and how she defines her sexuality, but Amber isn’t ready to confirm or deny the speculations.
Taking to Instagram Stories, she wrote, "Also let's not pressure someone to talk about something they're not ready to. Just take the funny tweet and move on".
Amber won the hit series back in 2019 with Greg O’Shea after Michael Griffiths called time on the courtship, however the couple only lasted five weeks in the outside world before calling it quits and going their separate ways.
On this year's series, Amber, who has released her new romantic novel Until I Met You, admitted that none of the current single lads in the villa tick her boxes, telling OK! : "I don’t think my guy is going to be in the Love Island villa."
As well as her entertaining Love Island commentary, Amber also uses her platform to raise awareness on important issues, including mental health.
Explaining her decision to use her platform for the greater good, Amber said that after coming off the show she decided to "always stand up for things I believe in".
"Prior to Love Island, I wouldn't even think about checking in with myself or how I would feel if I was anxious," she added. "It was never about taking time for yourself and making sure you’re okay."
Discussing the pressures of social media, she revealed: "I think on Instagram, we're all guilty of trying to paint a perfect picture of what the hell is going on, when really that's not the truth.
"I was just like, You know what, I'm going to tell everyone how I’m feeling. I want people to think there’s nothing wrong with chaos. It just makes you a better person.
"My life is just as messy as everyone else'. I still feel all the same things."
