Love Islands Whitney brands Ella selfish as pairs friendship hits the rocks

Love Island's Whitney Adebayo and Ella Thomas come to blows in tonight's episode, with Whitney branding Ella "selfish".

The pair lock horns as the Islanders get ready for the evening ahead after the day's challenge – Couple Goals – which sees the Islanders reveal what they think of each other.

Ella gets into the shower as Whitney walks into the bathroom and says: “Ella, are you being serious? I’ve been waiting.”

The girls then discuss the revelations from today’s ‘Couple Goals’ challenge while in the dressing room as Ella says to Whitney: “Why are you so salty about this challenge?”

Whitney responds: “Ella, I have never met a selfish person like you" to which Ella says: “That is the biggest lie I’ve ever heard.”

Whitney says: “You know I only tell the truth.”

Ella says: “Whitney, you actually think your family the way you speak to me and it’s not ok.”

Later that evening, Ella pulls Whitney for a chat after their earlier awkward exchange and she says: “I want to get this off my chest because I don’t want to give it energy but it actually upset me when you called me selfish in the dressing room. It really upset me because I wouldn’t speak to my friend like that. I feel like that was coming for my character.”

Whitney says: “I wasn’t joking Ella. Sometimes you do have selfish tendencies.”

Whitney and Ella might not be the only two Islanders clashing tonight as a first look video at the end of Wednesday night's episode teased an explosive row between Mitchel Taylor and Scott Van-der-Sluis.

Mitch, who already had a tense discussion with Tyrique after the beach club party, declares to Welsh footballer Scott that the only reason he and Abi Moores, 25, are together is because he didn't want Abi in the end.

Horrified by Mitch's statement, Scott then shouts back that no one got to know Abi because Mitch had been single for three whole weeks in the villa.

As a result, he claimed the other boys felt sorry for him and allowed him to crack on without their interference.

The war of words leaves the other islanders stunned as things are set to get tense in the villa once more.
