Madelaine Petsch is opening up about the upcoming final episodes of Riverdale!
The 28-year-old actress, who stars as Cheryl Blossom, recently spoke about the show ending and how fans will feel happy about her characters ending on The CW show’s final season.
If you didn’t know, there are only about seven episodes left ever of the series.
Check out what she said inside…
“As an actor on the show, wrapping was, maybe, one of the hardest weeks of my life. The people that I work with — the cast and the crew — are truly some of the most phenomenal people on this planet. I feel very lucky to have spent seven years with them. We pretty much had the same crew for seven years, so I think the hardest goodbye was saying goodbye to our crew,” she told Us Weekly after wrapping filming last week.
“It’s more to me about saying goodbye to these people who made the show [and] put their love into it. So that was quite difficult,” Madelaine added. “But I know it was time to put the red lipstick away and say goodbye to Cheryl. So, I’m excited to say goodbye to Cheryl [and] I think her story has been completed really well. I think people will be happy with it.”
This isn’t the first time that someone has said Cheryl fans will be happy. Previously, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa teased that Choni (Cheryl and Toni Topaz) fans will be “very happy” this season.
If you missed it, it was recently confirmed that this actor will NOT be coming back for the final season…
Riverdale‘s series finale is scheduled for Wednesday, August 23rd.
