The story, based on the Latinx novel by Laura Taylor Namey, “follows the heartfelt story of Lila Reyes. After the loss of her grandmother, Lila leaves her life at Abuela’s Cuban bakery in Miami to spend the summer cooking at her Aunt’s inn in Winchester, London. It’s there that she falls in love with the quaint British countryside, fusion cooking and a charming British tea shop clerk…ultimately using food as a way to bridge two cultures and heal her heart.”
While the roles have not been revealed, it seems likely that Maia will be playing Lila, with Kate as her aunt and Kit as the British tea shop clerk.
Katherine Fairfax Wright will direct a screenplay by Khaila Amazan. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before producer Matt Kaplan will produce through ACE Entertainment.
Production is currently underway in Yorkshire, England.
Maia can currently be seen in PLL: Original Sin, of course, as well as the upcoming Netflix movie Do Revenge.
Kit recently signed with a major Hollywood talent agency!
