Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford recently shared a new solo single, “Better Off High.”
“Better Off High” is the third track from Mumford’s upcoming debut album, Self-Titled, which is due for release on September 16 via Island. The latest track follows previous singles “Grace” and “Cannibal.”
The album will feature guest appearances by Phoebe Bridgers, Brandi Carlile, and Clairo, in addition to being produced by Blake Mills.
“It’s all that’s left for us / When you are back on the line /The lost stillness in your mind / Almost seized me,” he sings on the track. “And all of this tedious talk / It’s cheap / It’s easy.”
Meanwhile, Mumford has also announced a North American tour this fall in support of the album.
The trek will kick off with two Colorado dates on September 19 at Boulder’s Fox Theatre and September 20 at the Paramount Theatre in Denver.
The tour, which will include shows at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium and the Beacon Theatre in New York City, will conclude on November 10 at Massey Hall in Toronto.
