Martine McCutcheon has shared a glimpse of her Halloween costume, despite the annual celebration being over one month away.
The Love Actually and former EastEnders actress, 47, took to Instagram on Friday, 22 September, to share a spooky selfie before explaining that while Halloween is "ages away" her son Rafferty, seven, loves the occasion and takes it "very seriously" each year.
Martine, who shares Rafferty with her husband Jack McManus, could be seen sporting pale make-up and a black top complete with dramatic frill details. She wore her dark locks parted at the front with a pair of small silver earrings, and finished off her Halloween look with a nude lipgloss.
"I know, I know, it’s ages away but my son takes this spooky night coming up next month very seriously and I’m making the most of his cuteness whilst it lasts!" the Love Actually star told her followers.
She explained how Rafferty had instructed her to get her costume ready early and she's now waiting for her son to approve her outfit.
Martine added: "'Get in there early Mummy or the really good ones will sell out!' Anyone else dressed in a Halloween outfit waiting for their kids approval?! I can’t reveal the whole outfit but any ideas who Rafferty wants me to be this year? #halloween #superkeen #themacs #weloveit".
Her fans proceeded to guess who she will be dressing up as on 31 October, with most predicting Martine will be dressing as a member of the Addams family.
Martine's fun Halloween post comes after she opened up about her health struggles. She has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and has encouraged people to familiarise themselves with the symptoms.
The actress shared a candid post on Instagram recently where she admitted she surrounds herself only with those who understand how the condition can affect her.
In the vulnerable post, she penned: “I only surround myself with people who understand that if I need to cancel something (& that can happen often) it's not a choice I want to make."
She added: "I wanted to share this as people only see snippets on insta and life isn't all fun and games… But I'm not going to wait till things are perfect to live and love my life. Grab what you can!"
Martine has said that she was unable to holiday for her husband’s birthday last year due to the symptoms being so debilitating that she was “barely able to stand.”
