Megan Fox is OVER the whole Machine Gun Kelly cheating situation.
After a week of nonstop drama surrounding the Bloody Valentine singer’s alleged cheating scandal, Megan is extending an olive branch to his guitarist, Sophie Lloyd after fans speculated the two were more than bandmates. On Saturday, Sophie took to Instagram to announce her new single, Fall of Man, featuring Matt Heafy, and the Jennifer’s Body star saw an opportunity to once again squash all the rumors in the comments section. She wrote:
“How me making a joke in order to absolve this girl of a hurtful accusation somehow turned into a confirmation of it — I will never understand. Why are people so…so dumb”
We didn’t see any media outlets take it as confirmation, but maybe she saw some fans do so? Outlets were obviously going to report on Megan publicly replying to it, but from everything we saw, the reporting was all echoing Fox’s immediate squashing of such fan speculation — because it IS bulls**t to think Sophie had anything to do with their rift!
This was of course in reference to an earlier, cryptic post of Megan’s where a user commented, “He probably got with Sophie.” At the time, Megan responded, “maybe I got with Sophie.” From there, all eyes went to the comment, and thus, here we are. Megan added:
“Sophie you are insanely talented. Welcome to Hollywood. Your first unwarranted PR disaster You have now been baptized by the flames of fame. It only gets worse from here unfortunately. Just ignore it as much as you can. middle finger up”
“Unwarranted PR disaster,” yeah, if that’s not a Hollywood baptism, we don’t know what is. Sophie responded:
“The internet is so wild! Sending so much love.”
This all comes after reps for the guitarist denied the accusations, telling Page Six last Monday that she was “needlessly dragged into the media based off of meritless accusations made by social media.”
As you know, Megan deactivated her IG amid all the drama, but made her anticipated return Sunday, where she called the rumors of a “third party interference” in her relationship with MGK “baseless.” She added:
“You need to let this story die and leave all of these innocent people alone now.”
To recap, the reason people assumed cheating was because Megan captioned a photo with the opening lyrics from Beyoncé‘s Lemonade — an album that is ALL about two-timing! But after a long week of rumors, we’re just glad to see things in a lighter space again. Both of these women rock, and now everyone knows for sure they’re rockin’ on the same wavelength. Ya love to see it!
