Liberty X star Michelle Heaton has been labelled “an inspiration” by her fans after she showed off her washboard abs and toned back in a gruelling new workout video that she posted to Instagram.
Michelle, who often gives fans glimpses into her workout routines, posted the video captioned: “back and bicep attack” as she is seen doing barbell rows and dumbbell curls before posing and showing off her muscular physique.
The star penned: “Saturday morning we train ‼ Love a weight lifting session.”
Michelle then listed the benefits of weight training as she said: “ Benefits of Strength Training: – Increase Muscle Size and Strength – Strength training can help increase muscle size and strength – Improve Cardiovascular Health – Increase Bone Density – Stabilize and Protect Joints – Reduce Body Fat – Support Mental Well-being – Improve Sleep Quality”.
She finished off by asking: “Do YOU lift weights? How does it benefit YOU?”
Fans rushed to send their praise to the former Liberty X singer as one wrote: “You look unreal!!! What an inspiration you are to so many”, while another said: “Guns of steel, lass”.
A third commented: “I wish I had your discipline! I have one month to my 40th party and my plan was to have the body of dreams like you! But I don’t. Back to @davidlloydnorthwood Monday !!! X.”
Michelle’s fitness post followed one day after she spoke openly about going through menopause and how keeping up her fitness has helped her manage the effects.
In a short video, the star said: “I’ve been in menopause for nine years now and I have had to combat a lot of the effects of the menopause, but today is not about the effects, it's how we deal with them.”
Michelle then asked people to share their top tips on how they deal with menopause before sharing that her advice is to work out.
“Find the energy, get out there walking, go for a run, go to the gym, see your friends, get a basketball session in, whatever it takes.
“It releases happy endorphins, it helps with mood swings, it helps with depression, its world known to help with an array of different things.”
Followers showed their appreciation for Michelle’s honestly as one fan wrote: “This is brilliant, you're amazing”, while another said: “Love you my little doll”.
Other fans followed Michelle’s prompt and shared their tips, one wrote: “Bring in JOY! Dance in your kitchen, be playful, do whatever makes you smile. Reduces stress, impacting anxiety and panic lifting your mood.”
Another said: “Meditation I swear by it, brings me down from the stress cloud. Use the Balance meditation app.”
