Millie Bobby Brown reveals unlikely friendship with Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan

The celebrity world is full of unexpected connections and surprise friendships – and the reasoning behind one of arguably the most peculiar kinships has today been revealed, leaving fans baffled.

Despite being just 12 years old with The Only Way Is Essex premiered on ITV2 in 2010, Stranger Things actress and global talent Millie Bobby Brown has become extremely pally with much-loved reality star Mark Wright.

The duo have been papped hanging out together on several occasions, and this weekend, a now-19 year old Millie has opened up about why she and Mark get along so well.

Speaking to the Sunday Times, the Netflix superstar – who plays lead character Eleven on the 1980s sci-fi hit – explained: "I'm a huge fan of TOWIE and I was doing press in LA, saw him [Mark] and introduced myself."

She added: "He told me he was a fan of my work too and our families bonded. Now we're friends and go on family vacations together all the time."

Mark, 36 – who was warned by fans over a ‘dangerous’ move last week as he showed off £3.5m mansion – initially met with fellow Brit Millie on the US television series EXTRA back in October 2017.

After launching a career in the States, Mark has interviewed a whole host of major celebrities – including Millie – as well as Kim Kardashian, Margot Robbie and the late Olivia Newton John.

It is understood that after striking up a real friendship with the sci-fi star, the cheeky Essex chap later introduced new pal Millie to his sisters Natalya and Jess.

Hollywood star Millie later took a sun-drenched getaway to Turks And Caicos with in 2019.

Jess Wright – who last week was praised by fans as she showed off her ‘real skin’ in a candid post – previously said to Mail Online of gal pal Millie: "We're family friends, we always catch up and go out for dinner!".


Mark also introduced Millie to his former Coronation Street star wife, Michelle Keegan, with whom he shares his time time between the UK and the US.

Speaking of their friendship, Millie – who earlier this year announced her engagement to the son of American singer Jon Bon Jovi – that the loved-up couple Mark and Michelle have even treated the on-screen star to a night at the iconic Essex restaurant Sheesh "plenty of times".

In an Instagram post, Mark Wright Sr – the reality star's father – said of the family's trip to the Chigwell hotspot with Millie: "Took this young lady @milliebobbybrown and the family to @sheeshchigwell and we all had an amazing night again thank you x".
