The phrase stems from Ryan Gosling’s Ken, who after entering the real world, learns lessons about patriarchy and horses, and decides he needs to bring some of that to Barbieland and transforms Barbie’s Dreamhouse.
Ken turns her house into the Mojo Dojo Casa House, which he does learn all those words mean the same thing, but he still thinks that’s the best title for it.
The Mojo Dojo Casa House is complete with ridiculous details, like Doritos in the juivcers, the TVs playing the same horse clip, and more.
“He’s no interior designer, Ken. But can I just say, a lot of the crew wanted to buy things from the Ken-dom. I’m not saying who, but a lot of them did,” set decorator Katie Spencer shared with The New York Times.
