On September 23, Motörhead will release 40th anniversary editions of their fifth studio album, Iron First.
Originally released in 1982, Iron First was the final album from the legendary English metal band with its classic “Three Amigos” lineup of Lemmy Kilmister, “Fast” Eddie Clarke, and Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor.
“To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Iron Fist we’re proud to announce deluxe, expanded editions of this seminal album with lots of previously unreleased bonus tracks, new sleevenotes and many unseen photos,” the band said in its announcement.
The special edition of Iron First will be available in two-CD and three-LP media-book formats, featuring a remaster of the original album, previously unreleased demos and a full concert from the band’s performance at the Glasgow Apollo on March 18, 1982.
To preview the new 40th anniversary edition, Motörhead shared a new video for a demo version of the title track. To preorder the album with exclusive merch bundles, visit https://motorhead.lnk.to/IronFist40thWE
