The French dancer is reportedly fighting to save their marriage after he ‘made an enormous mistake’ by cheating on the Oscar-winning actress with a young climate activist.
AceShowbiz –Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied are giving their relationship another try despite his “enormous mistake.” They pair, who were married in 2012, are reportedly still together after it was revealed that he had an extramarital affair.
As first reported by French magazine Voici, Benjamin allegedly cheated on Natalie with glamorous young climate activist Camille Etienne. The 45-year-old dancer/choreographer and the 25-year-old woman were recently photographed entering and exiting his office building.
“It was short-lived and it is over,” a source tells PEOPLE of the alleged affair. “He knows he made an enormous mistake and he is doing all he can to get Natalie to forgive him and keep their family together,” says the source. “Natalie is incredibly private and has no intention of playing this out in the media. Her biggest priority is protecting her children and their privacy.”
Similarly, a source allegedly close to the couple tells Page Six that the “Black Swan” star and the former New York City Ballet principal dancer have not split and are trying to work things out. “Ben is doing everything he can to get Natalie to forgive him. He loves her and their family,” the source dishes.
“She is incredibly private,” the informant goes on adding. “Her biggest focus right now is protecting the kids.”
Natalie and Benjamin reportedly separated in 2022, but managed to work through their relationship woes. Words are it was an open secret on the set of her upcoming movie “May December“, which was shot in November 2022 over the course of 23 days, that she and Benjamin were having problems.
The pair, who have two children together, were allegedly still on thin ice when they were attending the premiere of the movie at the Cannes Film Festival in May. They, however, were spotted kissing over dinner on May 29.
