Nigel Farage’s daughter Izzy spoke out at Brisbane Airport today about how her father’s bare bottom has been splashed across television on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity, revealing that he was warned beforehand about flashing the flesh.
“We did warn him! We did say people get filmed in the shower – but hey, he’s a confident guy, he’s confident in himself so fair play,” she exclaimed.
The footage that emerged of the politician showering sparked a storm on social media, and ITV’s Lorraine Kelly was accused of body-shaming him after shuddering that she could “do without” seeing him in the nude.
Now, 18-year-old Izzy has revealed that her “divisive” dad didn’t pay heed to her warnings about the body scrutiny he could face in the jungle.
However, she says she believes he’s taken the show’s challenges in his stride, chuckling: “His face was just hilarious when he first put his head into that box with all the snakes in there.

“[During] the drinking one, he did not seem fazed whatsoever. I know he likes to down a pint back home but it’s not, you know, bugs and anus!”
She added that she believes her 59-year-old dad’s reaction to the tough trials represents his character in “all areas of life”.
Meanwhile, Izzy believes that he’s handled “debates and discussions” very well too, reasoning that it’s “what he does for a living”.
Unsurprisingly, Nigel clashed with Frenchman Fred Sirieix over his opinions on Brexit, while the politician and Nella Rose have also had a heated confrontation over “cultural appropriation”.

Nella argued that she didn’t believe Brits should be able to don traditional Mexican clothing, for example, as a “fancy dress costume”.
“There just seems to be enormous confusion about what you can and can’t do, can and can’t wear,” Nigel retorted.
Nella also had a war of words with Nigel about white people portraying “black accents”, with him blasting the idea of someone being “cancelled” for doing so.
“He’s a very divisive character,” Izzy confirmed, “so it’s either love or hate but now it seems to be there’s a bit of a middle ground… [with people saying] ‘I don’t agree with his politics but he seems like a funny guy.’
She added that the shift in perceptions towards her dad had been “really nice for all of us as family”.
Izzy now believes Nigel has the potential to do “really well” in the jungle, although she’s secretly yearning for him to come out early so that the pair can spend quality time together Down Under.
“I know he is very divisive,” she mused, “but he’s dad to me”.
