The new season of Power Rangers is premiering soon on Netflix!

Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury (rebranded from Dino Fury) makes history as the cast of Rangers all return for a third season, and if that wasn’t enough history making, one of their suits also marks a historic moment.

It was just announced on Thursday (August 17) that one of the original Power Rangers actors is making a comeback in the upcoming season.

Get the scoop on all the new details inside…

David Yost, the OG Blue Ranger Billy Cranston, will return for all ten episodes of the season, as he assists the Cosmic Fury rangers.

If you recall, David reprised his role for the 30th anniversary special, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, that came out earlier this year. This appearance will be separate from that one, though there will be a couple of small Easter eggs.

“We felt it would be a meaningful landmark for fans to have David return to the show in a significant role, playing a mentor,” executive producer Simon Bennett told EW. “And on a personal level, it was a thrill to be working with the O.G. Blue Ranger. David‘s calm and positive spirit kept us all grounded and reminded us of the Ranger legacy we were striving to do justice to.”

In the upcoming 30th season, Cosmic Fury, “Lord Zedd has escaped, and this time his rampage extends to the farthest reaches of space! The Rangers need to find new Zords and new powers to face Zedd’s latest threat, and they won’t do so alone. Joined by some familiar faces, they will discover the power of the Cosmic Orbs and become the Cosmic Fury Rangers, armed with new uniforms, new weapons, and an entirely new fleet of Zords! Go Go, Power Rangers!”

As for David’s involvement as Billy, the original Blue Triceratops Ranger, he “joins the Dino Fury Rangers in fighting back against the gravest threat the universe has known. Ever the tech genius and master of logic, Billy’s help is crucial to the Rangers in their battle against Lord Zedd. Billy’s expertise shines as the team rallies to fend off both a galactic invasion and the potential undoing of all the good that came from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team.”

Russell Curry (Zayto), Hunter Deno (Amelia Jones), Kai Moya (Ollie Akana), Tessa Rao (Izzy Garcia), Chance Perez (Javi Garcia), Jordon Fite (Aiyon) and Jacqueline Joe (Fern) are all returning to reprise their roles.

Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury is set to premiere on September 29th on Netflix.
