The former Strictly Come Dancing star, 36, was screaming in pain and clawing at his skin before going into a delirious state.

While Greg received hospital treatment, he is still unaware of what it was that caused his symptoms.

Shocking: The former Strictly Come Dancing star was screaming in pain and clawing at his skin before going into a delirious state
‘I’m much better today. I still have itches on my skin but nothing obviously like yesterday at all. All the rash has gone away now which is great.
‘I went to see the doctor again today to get some stronger antihistamines just in case it happened again.
‘So it’s now just going to be a case of figuring out what it was and hopefully never happening again.
‘But I do really appreciate everyone that’s reached out to me and to Susie .
‘Hopefully it doesn’t happen again because it was horrific, I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone.’

Blogger Susie, 33, described how she had to drive him to the hospital due to a 40-minute wait for ambulances where he was ‘pumped full of steroids and antihistamines’.

Outrageous: In a terrifying account of the dramatic incident, the blogger took to Instagram to detail how she watched while he went into a drug-like state
Horrific: The British track and field athlete, 36, was left screaming, clawing at his skin and delirious in the midst of a suspected allergic reaction
She said doctors were unable to diagnose the father of three, who has been with Susie since 2012.
Alongside an image of the sportsman in a hospital bed, Susie wrote: ‘Had quite literally the scariest time of my life yesterday…
‘Was enjoying a lovely roast at a friends’ house with the kids, Greg was at home because he’d been for a run and he text to say he was having an allergic reaction to something and felt itchy.
‘I didn’t think much of it until he rang me screaming two minutes later. And I mean SCREAMING. He shouted ‘YOU NEED TO GET HERE NOW’ and so I drove back to our house while calling an ambulance, terrified I was about to get home and find him not breathing.
‘999 said it would take 40 minutes, but that’s another issue to discuss for another day. Anyway I ran in the house found Greg there again, screaming. Acting like one of those people you see in videos where they’ve taken bath salts…
‘He was clawing at his skin and just screaming. Repeatedly. He ran to our car and while I rang 999 again to say I’d have to take him, we had to run every red light and I had to focus on not crashing while he screamed and tried to grab the wheel…
‘He was delirious and I looked like I was kidnapping him. I was on the phone to the 999 call handler and the poor girl just kept saying, ‘OK, yeah he doesn’t sound good, please be safe but hurry’.’
In another post, Susie continued: ‘I threw him out at A&E, parked and when I got there they told me they’d sent him through to Resus – I think mainly because he was a 6ft 3 bloke acting like a psychopath and didn’t want to scare anyone.
‘They pumped him full of steroids and antihistamines and it seemed to work pretty much immediately. Thankfully by the time I got there he’d stopped screaming and raking himself.
‘The doctor who suggested the viral thing hadn’t seen how Greg had been on arrival; I can’t explain how much pain he was in. This is a bloke who shrugs off a grumbling appendix so if you’ve experienced similar in an allergy way please let me know.’

Mystery: After fans questioned if Greg could’ve come into contact with a plant on his run that caused the reaction, Susie went on to explain that the symptoms had happened before
Horrendous: The couple, who have been together since 2012 and have three children, were then in A&E, where doctors failed to provide a diagnosis in the terrifying crisis
Susie went on: ‘After three hours we were allowed to go home. I felt close to having a heart attack but aside from that it’s all good on the health front.
‘My question is – we did nothing differently yesterday in terms of eating/drinking but the only snack [Greg] ate was nuts – could he have just developed an allergy do we think? Have any of you had this?
‘Hospital recommended we get him tested but said it could have also been viral. I appreciate rashes can appear with a viral illness but his body went MAD.’
After fans questioned if Greg could’ve come into contact with a plant on his run that caused the reaction, Susie added: ‘We don’t think it was any sort of plant because the reaction began before he went for his run (although we appreciate this may have exacerbated symptoms with the sweating).
‘Greg’s having some tests this morning so hopefully it can start the ball rolling and if I don’t get back to you just yet, I’m so sorry. I’ve had about 500 messages already! Really, really appreciate all the advice x’
The terrifying crisis comes just months after Greg revealed he had postponed his wedding following the death of a close family member.
In May, Greg tweeted: ‘Today was meant to be our wedding day.
‘Due to the loss of someone so close and important we postponed the big day – In typical fashion the UK weather is going to be perfect we’re a bit miffed.
‘But we get to plan it all again and hopefully really put together exactly what we want. [Susie] I know today will be frustrating, but I love you so much and we’ll have an even better wedding when we finally manage to do it.’
