Operation Repo star Sonia Pizarro has died suddenly at the age of 60.
The TV star passed away in her sleep, with her death confirmed by her nice, Lyndah.
Pizarro became a notable favourite on TruTV series Operation Repo, which followed a team of professional repossessors in the San Fernando Valley as they retrieve cars from angry owners.
Created by her brother, Lou Pizarro, Operation Repo became a quick favourite, based on real-life stories but told through actors.
Pizarro would later end up starring in her own spin-off movie from the show, Operation Sonia: Love Thy Sleeping Neighbor, in 2016.
Froylan Tercero, a fellow Operation Repo star and Pizarro’s ex-husband, shared the news on Instagram alongside a photo of the star.
He wrote: “I’m deeply sad to inform you that Sonia has passed away, to many she was a bad ass chick that kicked some serious ass, to me she was and will always be my ex wife, the mother of my son and she will always have a place in my heart and on my body since I still have her name tattooed on my stomach.”
“Sonia we love you and I will honor you with all the good mementoes you have me, thank you and I love you,” he continued.
“I will be stepping away from social media for some time, thank you guys for understanding, love you guys.”
He then reiterated the statement in Spanish.
Before her death, Pizarro suffered a number of medical issues, including suffering a stroke in May 2018.
According to TMZ, who initially broke the news, Lyndah stated her death was not related to the stroke.
Pizarro is survived by three children – Ruby, Robert and Froylan Jr – and three grandchildren, Bryant, Brie and Danica.
