Oti Mabuse announces pregnancy on her breakfast show
Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse has opened up about the events that led to her departure from the hit BBC show.
Speaking in an emotional new interview, the 33-year-old mum-to-be admitted that she’d spent days “crying in the shower” as she struggled to cope with the intensity of trying to train her partners and help them to improve.
Praising her husband Marius Iepure, she said that he helped her to get through the “dark days” during her seven years on the programme.
“Luckily my husband is an amazing person who’s seen the dark days. The days where I’m in the shower crying with my clothes on because it’s so hard and so overwhelming,” she said.
She also recalled that he had had to deal with her when she didn’t eat much at all or the complete opposite as a coping mechanism.

The pro dancers have less than a week to teach their celebrity partners a brand-new dance and as most competitors have little or no dance experience this can prove challenging.
Oti won the contest twice – first with former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher in 2019, and then with musical comedian Bill Bailey in 2020.
However, speaking on the All Change podcast, the dancer revealed that she struggled to cope with certain “interesting personalities” on the show over the years, but wouldn’t reveal who.
Since leaving Strictly Oti has followed in sister Motsi’s footsteps and taken up a judging role.
She is part of the panel on Dancing On Ice alongside Ashley Banjo and ice skating superstars Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

News of her Strictly departure was announced last year and came as a surprise to many.
“I was met with a lot of, ‘Why would you leave? You’re happy, you are at the top of your professional game, your personal game,” she said.
“‘You won the show. Why would you leave?’ And I was like, ‘because of that’.
“That is the wrong question to ask, ‘Why would you leave?’ The right one is, ‘What’s next?'” she continued.
