Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's Cheshire mansion was recently targeted by burglars while the couple were at home with their son.
The Little Mix star, 29, and Liverpool FC ace Alex, also 29, had their £3.5 million mansion broken into while they were downstairs, with many expensive items including jewellery and designer handbags stolen.
The couple live in Cheshire with their one year old son Axel, who they were with when the terrifying burglary took place, and sources have said the pair are now "terrified" for their safety following the incident.
According to The Sun, a friend of the famous couple said: “It’s just the most violating thing — to think that someone has been all over their belongings before they even realised what was happening is so upsetting."
“The brazenness of doing it while they were in the house is terrifying, and obviously they’re heartbroken that a lot of valuable items which meant a great deal to them — not just financially — have been taken. This is their dream home and they love their life there as a family.
"Suddenly it feels tarnished, but they’re determined to get on with their lives and obviously they’ll take every necessary step to ensure they are totally secure in the future," the friend added.
OK! has contacted Alex and Perrie's representatives for comment.
Cheshire Police confirmed to The Sun that officers were called to the burglary on Tuesday night at 10.45m. They said: “The offenders have broken into the home stealing jewellery and handbags while the occupants were inside."
Detectives are now closely inspecting CCTV footage as they hunt for clues.

Perrie and Alex count a number of famous faces as neighbours, with the like of Sir Alex Ferguson, 80, and Raphael Varane, 29, living nearby.
Speaking about the burglary, one of the couple's neighbours described it as a "real worry" and said the street is "very quiet."
“This latest break-in is a real worry. This is a very quiet street and lots of residents have very good security, so it is quite frightening these thugs still feel comfortable enough to break in — especially when people are in. It must have been terrifying," they said.
Perrie and Alex purchased the property around one year ago and have been busy making it into their perfect family home, following the birth of their first child in 2021.
The pair started dating back in 2016, going on to publicly confirm their romance in 2017. In May 2021, Perrie and Alex announced they were set to become parents for the first time, with their baby son being born three months later.
Earlier this year, Alex popped the question to his longterm girlfriend while on holiday with the pair now planning to tie the knot in the future.
