The 28-year-old Little Mix singer, who shares a young son named Axel with the Liverpool FC player, also gives fans a closer look at her new engagement ring.
AceShowbiz –Perrie Edwards is sharing her joy after getting engaged to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Making use of social media, the Little Mix star treated her online devotees to pictures from the romantic proposal.
The 28-year-old shared the photos on her Instagram account on Saturday, June 18. In some of the snaps, her now-fiance was seen getting down on his knee by the beach during sunset. The singer also gave fans a closer look at her diamond ring.
Perrie, who was previously engaged to former One Direction member Zayn Malik, expressed her overwhelming excitement in the caption of the post. She gushed, “Last night the love of my life got down on one knee and I said… YES!”
The proposal took place more than a month after Perrie, along with her Little Mix bandmates Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, helped a couple get engaged at their concert at Manchester’s AO arena. The former later admitted at the May 8 show that she was “ever so slightly jealous” of the pair.
According to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, Perrie said, “I’m ever so slightly jealous, just saying. Honestly guys, I love love.” Jade, meanwhile, raved, “What a moment. How am I going to sing now?”
Perrie previously hinted that she would accept Alex’s proposal without any doubts. When appearing on the “Capital Breakfast Show”, she was asked whether she would give a yes to her man if he ever popped the question.
In response, the mom of one quipped, “I have to think about it, I think… No, obviously!” She then added, “But do you know what, I appreciate him, we don’t want to rush into it. But it would be a definitely yes from me, I reckon!”
Perrie and Alex have been dating since 2016, but it was not a year later that they went public with their relationship. The “Love Me Like You” songstress and the Liverpool FC player welcomed their first child together, son Axel, in August 2021.
