Pregnant Lucy Watson has broken down in tears as she appeared to hint at fertility struggles in a new video posted to TikTok.
The 33 year old former Made in Chelsea star, who is married to James Dunmore, announced her pregnancy on 20 September as she posted a sun-kissed snap from abroad where she bared her bump and James kissed her on the cheek.
But a few weeks later, Lucy took to TikTok to share an emotional video in which she discussed her pregnancy, describing it as 'surreal' before discussing her own personal journey to get pregnant.
She said: "I owed it to everyone who is going through struggles with fertility to do a little video just acknowledging your pain, basically, because…."
Lucy then took a break to collect herself as she said: "Sorry, I didn't want to get emotional.. this was not the plan, hang on…"
She then began recording again, after she'd taken a moment to collect herself.
Speaking to the camera, Lucy said: "Sorry, I'm just emotional as it is at the moment anyway, but I just want to acknowledge those with fertility issues as I know that my [pregnancy] news would have been triggering for a lot of people and I respect that and I can relate to that.
She went on to speak about how 'lovely' and 'sweet' her fans have been, as she revealed that she had received messages from people on Instagram talking about issues that they've faced when trying to conceive.
"I think fertility issues aren't necessarily talked about enough, said Lucy, before she talked about the fact that some women who had had regular cycles might think they'd be able to conceive quickly – which she admitted to thinking herself.
Lucy then mentioned that she and some of her friends had been going through the motherhood journey at the same time, leading them to realise that some of them might find it 'harder' than others.
Saying she would make a longer video about her experience at a later date, as she revealed that she had 'seen a lot of specialists' and 'read a lot about this topic'.
She then urged people, whether they are single or in a relationship, and even those who are not looking to get pregnant yet, to get testing done to identify any potential issues with conceiving early on.
"Do it sooner rather than later – don't wait until you're ready to try," she urged. "There can be so many things underlying that we are not aware of."
Lucy went on: "Knowledge is power," before continuing: "I have to say, what I've learned through this process, is that the NHS isn't the best. But if you're persistent and chase things up, they can be really helpful."
At the end of the video, Lucy said: "I'm not miserable by the way, I'm an emotional person and this can be a really hard topic to talk about, but I am going to keep talking about it and try and help others as much as I can."
