Prince George, 8, struggles in the heat at Wimbledon as mum Kate comforts him

Prince George was spotted struggling in the heat as the UK hit highs of 29°C on Sunday 10 July.

The young prince, eight, was joined by his parents Prince William and Kate Middleton, both 40, at Wimbledon, where they watched the men’s final from the Royal Box.

George, who’s said to be quite the sports fan, could be seen dressed to impress in a navy blue suit and striped tie and, while he looked undeniably dapper, a suit is probably the last night most people want to be wearing during a heatwave.

In snaps taken of the youngster, George looked hot and bothered as he put his hand to his head and exhaled while doting dad William spoke to him.

Checking in on her son, Kate then tentatively wiped George’s face in a rarely seen mother-son moment between the two.

Kate is patron of the All England Club which hosts the annual tennis competition, and regularly attends multiple days of the London event.

The trio all wore colour coordinated outfits for the outing, with Kate in a navy blue polka dot gown.

William looked smart in a light blue shirt and dark blue tie, and he opted for a light beige blazer to finish off his look.

Kate and William have been spotted at Wimbledon numerous times over the past week, with the mum-of-three looking exceptionally stylish on each occasion.

Kate looked incredible in a vibrant yellow gown on Saturday 9 July at the tournament, as she presented Elena Rybakina with her first Wimbledon trophy after the 23 year old beat Ons Jabeur to claim victory in the women’s finals.

George isn’t alone in struggling with the heat – singer Will Young also fell victim to the heatwave and ended up stripping off on stage.

The singer, 43, performed to thousands of revellers at London’s Kew Gardens on Friday 8 July, on what was one of the hottest evenings the UK has seen in a while.

Arriving on stage shortly after 9pm when the temperature was still a sweaty 27°C, he joked to fans about regretting his poor choice of outfit.

He was wearing a hat, a shirt over a T-shirt, and thick, black pleather (plastic leather) trousers much to his own amusement.

“I shouldn’t have worn these,” he quipped.

While the over-shirt came off within a few minutes of performing, as did his hat, Will reportedly lasted around 45 minutes with the rest of his clothes on.

During that time he kept the crowd going with his hits including Who Am I, Changes and Light My Fire.

Shortly after starting his 2003 hit Your Game, Will gave in and whipped off his trousers while standing at the mic, much to the enjoyment of cheering and screaming fans.
