Despite being flung to the ground in the middle of a match, the Duke of Sussex is able to quickly get back on his feet to continue the game at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club.
AceShowbiz –Prince Harry experienced quite a scare during a recent polo match. The husband of former actress Meghan Markle competed for Nacho Figueras’ team Los Padres in a match against Dundee II on Friday, June 10 when he took a tumble off his horse. Luckily, he managed to escape unscathed from the scary incident.
The Duke of Sussex was reported to have fallen off his horse in the middle of a match that took place at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club in California. The other players immediately rushed to his side to aid him right after he was flung to the ground. He thankfully was able to get back up and continued with the game riding another horse.
Harry’s unfortunate situation did not stop there. His team also lost with a score of 12-11. Still, he didn’t seem too bothered by it. He could be seen hanging out with his pals on the sidelines post match, happily chatting with David Foster and his wife Katharine McPhee. The 37-year-old British royal’s wife Meghan, in the meantime, was absent.
In photos spreading online, Harry could be seen wearing a green shirt that he paired with white trousers. He also wore a pair of black riding boots, and protected himself with knee pads.
Harry and Meghan have been back home in California for around a week when the incident took place. The pair traveled back to the U.K. in early May to attend Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee. They weren’t seen on the balcony with other members of the Royal Family at the Trooping of the Colour, but were spotted taking part in other festivities.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their first public appearance at the Platinum Jubilee for the Thanksgiving Service on June 3. It was the first royal engagement Prince Harry and his wife officially took part in since they stepped down from their official royal duties to move to California.
During his U.K. trip, Harry brought along his 3-year-old son Archie and 1-year-old daughter Lilibet. The trip gave Lili the opportunity to meet her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, for the first time. It was reported that the family finally spent some quality time together with the Queen at Windsor Castle during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
