Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have a ‘completely different dynamic’ to Kate Middleton and Prince William, according to a body language expert.
Eugenie, 33, and Jack, 37, are celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary this week and body language guru Darren Stanton said the Royal couple have grown in confidence over the years. However, he added the pair come across as ‘quite guarded’ and ‘protective’ when compared to the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Mum-of-two Eugenie, the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, wed businessman Jack at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle on 12 October, 2018 after first meeting almost a decade earlier – in 2010. Darren said that while the pair first came across as “shy” and “out of place" during the early days of their relationship, Eugenie is now much more "relaxed", while Jack comes across as "reserved" in public.
He also noted that the couple appeared “very much in love”.
Darren, speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, added: “Eugenie and Jack have a completely different dynamic to Zara and Mike Tindall or Kate Middleton and Prince William. With Kate and William, a lot of their appearances are impromptu.
“When their pictures are taken, they often aren't planned and can be unexpected. When we see Eugenie and Jack on her wedding day and their photoshoots prior, they come across as quite guarded and protective.
“From time to time, we see Kate and William laughing together in more casual shots, which we don’t often see with Eugenie and Jack. It tells me Eugenie wanted to convey a certain image during her wedding.”
Discussing the early days of Eugenie and Jack’s relationship, Darren said: “When we look at photos of Eugenie and Jack during their early days of seeing each other, neither of them came across as confident. Eugenie came across as shy, and nervous on camera, as did Jack.
“That could be down to not being photographed very often. Eugenie would play with her fingers quite a lot, and strands of her hair or face, which suggests she was reassuring herself when feeling nervous and out of place.”
But Darren went on to say Eugenie and Jack’s confidence has “grown hugely over the years”. He added: “She is known to have a great sense of humour and that has shone through during public events in recent years.
“When she is photographed with Jack now, she will look straight down the lens and that tells us she is confident on her own, as well as when she is with Jack. Eugenie is clearly more dominant than him. He comes across as submissive, and reserved.
“This was very similar to her mother Sarah Ferguson. Fergie would always take the lead and she showed she felt comfortable doing it that way.”
This week OK! revealed how Eugenie, her sister Beatrice and their father Prince Andrew may find themselves 'turfed out' of Frogmore Cottage – with it potentially being rented to the public.
